A fellow named Kerby once mentioned to me (not too long ago, in fact) “All problems are love problems.” He’s a smartie.

Happy Chinese New Year, Ash Wednesday and Tết Nguyên Ðán

Farewell Monkey. Hello, Rooster.

Yesterday flowed reasonably well, all things considered. Good things could still be ahead. I’m stymied and fragmented today, understandably so. There’s promise in the future, though we might have to trim a little scar tissue and work around a few things. Good stuff is worth a little work, so no worries.

Four cool Dolls.

Make a flower out of any URL. I have no idea how it decides what goes where.

I want to write a letter to a long lost friend and love. Maybe even mail it off.

The latest on that girl who allegedly had her mom murdered, then posted about it in her journal.

(glassdog broke the story, last thanksgiving.)

Helpless after his dad dies of illness, this man lives here with corpse for 10 years

HE has a low IQ, has no job and hardly talks.
He spends his days sitting on the porch, smoking one cigarette after another. Nobody has visited his rundown kampung home in a remote part of Ipoh for many years. So when his 80-year-old father died of illness 10 years ago, Mr Li Jianbo managed the only way he knew.

With no money for a funeral, the 55-year-old left his father’s corpse on the mattress in his bedroom.

Never mind the stench or the horror.

It also didn’t bother his younger brother, Mr Li Haibo, a self-described loner who works odd jobs in a restaurant.

Their mother died when they were young.

The old man’s skeleton would have remained there, if not for a neighbor who dropped by on Thursday for Chinese New Year, reported China Press.

Shocked to see the old man’s remains, the neighbor called the casket company and the police.

That neighbor first stumbled upon the remains during an earlier visit six months ago.

Distressed at the lack of respect shown to the old man’s remains, he told the younger Mr Li Haibo to pack the remains into a crate in the living room and call the undertaker.

But Mr Li Haibo didn’t like asking strangers for help and did nothing.

The police have since sent the skeleton to the general hospital for a DNA examination to confirm the dead man’s identity.

NO FOUL PLAY

No foul play is suspected for the moment, pending further investigations.

Now, the kampung is abuzz with news of the discovery.

After the old man’s death, Mr Li Haibo told neighbors he had given the corpse to an undertaker and wouldn’t be holding a funeral.

Nobody suspected anything amiss.

The elderly man’s death was not discovered earlier because the Lis’ house is remote and surrounded by a thick forest.

The air is often damp and chilly, and doesn’t carry the smell of decay easily.
