The Indian Pipe shown is continuing to grow, but I suspect it won’t sustain too much longer unless we get more rain.
Creatures seen – one human walking a big yellow hound dog. A few cars heading out of town – to work, maybe?
Three squirrels, two goldfinches, many gnats, two spiderwebs with resident arachnids, some non-cardinal red birds, a blue jay, a gang of starlings, one turkey vulture.
The little girl up the road wrote “stay safe 😀” in rainbow chalk on the road that is my route to the swamp. That street has a good shadow cover from neighborhood trees that is uncovered by midmorning. Another good reason for walkies before 8am.
No water birds, turtles, foxes, frogs, eagles or ravens today.
Surprising amount of energy at the start of the morning today, maybe due in part to some caffeine from a recent delivery and morning shotgunning of diet Pepsi.
