Rockford is a former convict who has turned his life around and now uses his skills as a detective to solve cases. Unlike Columbo, Rockford is tough and street-smart, and he often uses his con-man wits and physical abilities to get out of difficult situations.
Both Columbo and the Rockford Files are classic detective series, but they differ in their approach to solving crimes. Columbo is a more cerebral detective, using his intellect and cunning to outsmart his suspects. In contrast, Rockford is a more physical and intuitive detective, relying on his strength and instincts to solve cases.
