8403 – EN on call! yay!

Thanks in no small part to the monkey chow diaries, I think I’ve got a good idea on making an effort to eat better, and to help make the world a better place.

My current solution – I’m going to pay matching funds to a foundation for anytime I eat non-grocery items (and I won’t be spending much more – cutting purchase of said items in half – so I’ll be spending abou tthe same amount). Anything from a vending machine or a restaurant, I’ll be earmarking an equal amount of cash for a charity for feeding (or better, teaching to self-feed) someone else who is hungry.

Here is a list of 263 charities that provide food. Though, I might prefer to support organizations that catalyze sustainable changes, like Engineers Without Borders. (The old feed a man a fish versus teach him to fish thing).

If anyone can recommend a good, reputable charity (where money goes to the cause, not executive payroll) that teaches recovery of land / self-sustainable health to people, please let me know.

I’m going to turn my homepage’s yahoo ads and the paypal charity tip jar to focus on that aspect of helping others, at least until the First of July (I may extend it past that point, too, if I don’t come up with another idea that at least as useful) so, if anyone visiting Newtcam or any other page that has a yahoo ad clicks on it, they can help without spending anything.

Other Projects are Hurricane recovery, Race for Life Cancer Research, and Wigs for Kids – Not to mention the following clickable helpers:

A few sites for positive change – None of them cost a penny but can help to do good works.

The hunger site – free food to the hungry
Breast cancer site – Help to fund free mammograms
Child Health site – Help save young lives for free
Rainforest Site – help to preserve our rainforests
Animal rescue site – Feed an animal in need.

It frequently seems that people want what they cannot have. That’s not a problem, until it turns out that the *only* reason they want it is because they can’t have it. Very silly, especially when they don’t want it anymore once they have it.

Well, Duh, I say to myself. Just be glad that isn’t one of my failings… I’ve got enough on my own.

Dr. Lisa Cuddy
50% Eccentricity, 50% Confidence, 65% Kindness
Congratulations, you’re Dr. Lisa Cuddy! You’ve got a healthy balance of confidence, kindness, and general oddity (because asking a person who works for you to stick a needle in your butt is odd, no matter how hot he may be). You’re probably an excellent leader with a good sense of humor. You also probably have a vulnerable side that not many people know about.

The Appreciator

You are 81% non-critical of a guy’s and/or woman’s appearance.

You most likely would’ve given a chance to the person with acne who wears glasses. Over time, they could get a clearer face after taking on anti-acne medication (like Accutane), do without glasses thanks to contacts or vision corrective laser surgery, and ends up being great in bed. So give yourself a pat on the back!
While you can appreciate someone’s looks, you likely don’t overly fantasize about someone’s nice features, and you can see beauty in more people than most others. You most likely develop your physical attraction to someone over time or perhaps the attraction is somewhat psycological. For example, you might be attracted to someone who has an average figure, but can give you a look with their eyes or facial expression like they want you.
Shirley Manson from the band Garbage is a great example of this in action if you’re into women and Jimmy Fallon could have that boy from next door look if you’re into men.
Hell, you might even find me to be attractive. 😉

If you liked my test please rate it highly below, and feel free to send me feedback. Thanks!

ESFJ-The Provider
You scored 63% I to E, 57% N to S, 38% F to T, and 23% J to P!
Providers, a subgroup of the Guardians, take it upon themselves to arrange for the health and welfare of those in their care, as well as being quite sociable. Wherever they go, Providers take up the role of social contributor, happily giving their time and energy to make sure that the needs of others are met, that traditions are supported and developed, and that social functions are a success. Providers are extremely sensitive to the feelings of others, which makes them perhaps the most sympathetic of all the types, but which also leaves them rather self-conscious, that is, highly sensitive to what others think of them. Because of this Providers can be crushed by personal criticism, and will work most effectively when given ample appreciation both for themselves personally and for the service they give to others. This is not to say that Providers are afraid to express their own emotional reactions. They are quick to like and dislike—and don’t mind saying so—tending to put on a pedestal whatever or whoever they admire, and to come down hard on those people and issues they don’t care for. You share your type with 10% of the population.
As a romantic partner, you work hard to nuture and protect your relationships. You go to great lengths to maintain harmony and are motivated to resolve conflicts. You have a very clear idea of what is important to you and do best when your partner shares those same values. You want your partner to be loving, commited, and willing to support your frequently overwelming feelings and reactions. You feel most appreciated when your partner is kind, considerate, and helpful, and compliments you often on your hard work in their behalf.
