Dungeon Explorer
Ah, back to this sculpt! Sharing a mold with the Berserker, this version is a loving tribute to Elkhorn the good dwarf fighter from LGN for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
Quite a nostalgic and colorful paint scheme, with detail on the torso and upper arms showing scale mail lines over a painted gray armor. Hammer, dagger and trident are 2 tone, the helmeted head, ankylosaurus head, goblin head, belt and boots also have multicolored paints. The shield is the ankylosaurus shell, which is monochrome, but in a nice almost gunmetal shade that matches the head well. The goblin head has a neat hairline, which I don’t think I have seen before, and looks just right.
Having this guy alongside the Berserker, Grid Enforcer, and King Kringle make for a fun Dwarf squad or a goblin squad… Or a mixed bag of fun fighters with an assortment of weaponry.

Grid Avatar – Greetings Program.
Last of the Tomy Tron tributes, translucent blue over cyan grid-style paints. This is based on Flynn, down to the painted “sash / toga” top on the torso.
The blue appears to be not quite the same colorway as that if the Jesse figure, bit that makes sense given the different lines being represented.
Using the Triceratops head mainly because I haven’t shown it on a body yet and it is a pretty sweet sculpt too.
Unlike the Grid Enforcer or Battler, his shield is round and has a nice “identity disk” pattern, echoing that of the logo on the belt of the Battler or moreso the Enforcer .

He also came with 3 glow in the dark Clawbber parts, a tonfa, knife and helmeted human head, in addition to removable armor, shield and 5 bonus heads. I may prefer Flynn as an Orc or Shaggy-haired human the most, though the dino heads are a lot of fun!
Overall, the 4 Tron tribute figures are well done, are durable, highly detailed with good paints. They look and feel like they will stand up to a lot of play time and will be attractive on a shelf display. There is good diversity in the molds, colors and accessories, plus having add on glow in the dark pieces are a lot of fun.

Day 60 of Quarantine
Remarkable to think about it. Haven’t driven a car more than a block once week or so to keep it running.
Haven’t had takeout or eaten in a restaurant for two months now.
Interaction is limited to inlaws, who I fear aren’t being as safe as they might be, and neighbors out walking. I don’t go more than a block away from home.
I have managed to procrastinate quite a bit on cleaning my office. Several false starts, but no satisfying accomplishments.
We are fortunate in that working from home is an option, and I think that saving 80+ hours a month of commute time, not to mention weekend trips elsewhere.
I do miss pizza though… Thai and sushi a little as well.
Fortunate that no major health issues for Pyewacket or either of the humans yet. Getting our meds, eating reasonably healthy.

Grid Overlord DX.
Nod to Sark from the 1982 Tomy Tron toys. Translucent Red with pink paint details. Certainly the “scary bad guy” of the bunch, a good choice for Sark.
Nice that the claw hand is able to hold weapons and accessories, and the and the cybernetic armor is a well-made variant from the fantasy and the wrestling belt alternatives. Additionally, the tonfa , contemporary survival knife, and gun are a nice split from the more fantasy-based weapons.
I have discovered that a ton of backgrounds for filmation’s he-man and she-ra are available online. That should make web conference stuff more entertaining in future for some.

Deluxe Micro Battler Jesse.
A loving nod to the Micronauts time traveller figures. I got blue simply because I had a blue one as a kid. If possible, later I will probably pick up an orange or yellow one to go with, since my little brother and neighbor kid Jason had those too, but the blue one was the real grab. For some reason, I thought the Blue’s name was Bob. (I forget yellow’s moniker, but Orange was Tony, I think) Spy Monkey Creations named this guy Jesse, but he will likely be Bob to me, too.
Translucent Blue with silver / gold / white paint.
Deluxe Battle Tribes Wrestling figures include: 8 painted heads (6 food in gold, silver masked and bald human), white painted Wrestling boots and gloves, painted gold Championship belt, and 1 painted wrestler mini figure body. I couldn’t resist a golden apple, being both a fan of mythology and Robert Anton Wilson’s Illuminatus Trilogy. I shall call him Kal, for Kallisti! Hail Eris!

Goblin Enforcer, report to the game grid! Though it defaults to an ankylosaurus head, that goblin head is just right for a translucent red sculpt with orange grid paint. I should have shown him holding the trident. A nice nod to the Tron program character MCP Warrior and based on the TOMY action figure version from the 1982 movie line. Grid Champion
A Tron tribute in translucent purple with blue “grid” paint. It matches the classic 1982 Tomy colorway well. Same sculpt as Battle Burger , with great attention to detail (especially on the human and burger heads) and a nice nod to the identity disk on the add on wrestling belt.
I was just talking with a friend that I went to see Tron with ages ago on Facebook, and he remarked that he wished he still had the light cycle from that time. I wonder if I could create a recogniser or tank from the granite Gohlems for him to tool around on? I probably start small with a bit.
Side-side note, doing research on Wendy Carlos was my first realisation that trans people existed, due to her doing the Tron soundtrack. She also did amazing stuff on the clockwork orange soundtrack.
Back to the Grid Champion… 8 painted heads, wrestler trunks, battle tribes trunks, wrestler boots, battle tribes boots, remainder of a regular single figure and a head swappable mini wrestler. Not shown additional Glow-in-the-Dark green clawbber hands / head.
