Nutshelling –

  • got allergy shots

  • picked green beans from the garden.. another two grocery bags full!

  • Farmers Market provided supplemental eggplant, green pepper, blueberries.

  • Coffee Tea and Whimsy – bowls, raspberry mead, white wine, a cute voodoo doll toothpick holder.

  • watched movies:
  • no country for old men – bleh
  • I’m not there – bleh.
  • danny deckchair – good!

  • pizza night with the in-laws – used kits – made one pepperoni, one plain cheese an one veggie. all were delicious.


  • ice cream cones with fudge ripple for dessert!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rq2_YKQGE_U Since we saw the fireworks on the bay yesterday (fireworks at beaches are staggered – different cities do them on different days so you can attend them all week and weekend long), we did our own today. Matt and Tina came back over, as did Chris and Larry.

Matt helped me quite a bit with the grill and lighting of the pyrotechnics. We ate leftovers from the 3rd, still plenty of burgers, corn, and mac&cheese for the eating!

Alan, JC, Denise, Tina, Matt, Chris, Larry – visited briefly by Adam, Joey, Jimmy, Amanda and Adam’s School roommate next year (Mike? – No, Matt!) whose name I forget.

Special Guest was Chae-pooch! 10 year old chihuahua, looks like a little doll, but is feisty!

Fireworks were excellent – not as crowded as we expected.

Lunch at Tina’s was good, despite the lateness – we can be a collective of procrastination… fortunately it is a known variable.

BHK has learned about expelling anal ducts in dogs… her desire for a puppy isn’t as great as it was.. but that only redoubles the want for ducks, llamas and more kitties.

A good time was had by all.

I added a new video card to my amazon wish list – my old one is just that… getting old.

I still don’t know what to get BHK for her Birthday next month. Tricky when we’ve already got the bulk of our hubbub out of the way now – she doesn’t really want for furniture or jewelry or books…. I suspect I’ll have to take a slightly different tactic.

Folks in the lunchroom today were making claims that “USA torture isn’t as bad as foreign torture” – Isn’t that splitting hairs? Drowning to get info someone isn’t torture?

Light supper tonight – tube and cool dinner on the love couch. Some pre-emptive fireworks being launched by the neighbors.

PRINCE FREDERICK, MD – In the middle of the afternoon on Sunday, Police were called to the Rite Aid in Prince Frederick for a theft. According to a press release, at 3:45 p.m. an employee of the store called police to report that an unknown suspect stole more than $1100 worth of electric toothbrushes from the store.
The employee described the thief as a medium build white male. The reports states that the man filled two baskets with the items and then fled the store. His getaway was achieved with a green Ford Thunderbird, however, the store’s surveillance video was able to record the suspect during the broad daylight theft.
Deputy Seth Mitchell is continuing the investigation.
