Even the Gohlems are ready to have a beach day, but they are keeping it to the yard and maintaining a safe distance!
This guy is going to run in the sprinklers out back and leave room for any virus hubbub to stick to him. Summer still seems a good distance away, with the cold snap that just passed through. I am loving it, but warmer weather folks will be happy soon enough. I will take some brisk wind while I can get it.
In comics and cartoons, it always cracked me up when robots or creatures with protection (like ninja turtles) would wear outer costumes like a bathing suit, because there are no modesty concerns, or sanitary worries. Pure fashion for fashion’s sake.
The leg position makes it look like he has to pee.

King kringle

I may have to get another one of these. Currently, the last of my figures in this “warrior dwarf” mold.
Paint is clean, but more simple than the others of this sculpt. That will make for a good resource if you are building a bigger red frankenbeast from these and other parts for color continuity. Still 3 colors in places, like the mohawk head with blue eyes, green beard ties and white beard. Most of the body is solid crimson red, but boots and gloves are black with white trim. Both champion belt and trunks have black with gold buckle.
Other weapons in a solid green to complete the holiday color scheme. I think that I may make a red vinyl cape / duster coat to put on him, just to make the Santa look a little more “North Pole friendly”
Greatly appreciated is that the darker skinned human head has the whites of the eyes painted, as well as the center, fairer skinned human head has eyebrow detail, and upper eyelashes. Goblin head in red and white makes for an extra devilish appearance, should you want to go in a more Krampus-like direction.
The candy-cane trident looks good with the ankylosaurus red and white, or if you want to play holiday he-man / Yukon Cornelius.
I liked the addition of the cloth red bag… Good for gjfts, coal, as krampus bad children, or just his extra glyos parts.

Dungeon Explorer

Ah, back to this sculpt! Sharing a mold with the Berserker, this version is a loving tribute to Elkhorn the good dwarf fighter from LGN for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
Quite a nostalgic and colorful paint scheme, with detail on the torso and upper arms showing scale mail lines over a painted gray armor. Hammer, dagger and trident are 2 tone, the helmeted head, ankylosaurus head, goblin head, belt and boots also have multicolored paints. The shield is the ankylosaurus shell, which is monochrome, but in a nice almost gunmetal shade that matches the head well. The goblin head has a neat hairline, which I don’t think I have seen before, and looks just right.
Having this guy alongside the Berserker, Grid Enforcer, and King Kringle make for a fun Dwarf squad or a goblin squad… Or a mixed bag of fun fighters with an assortment of weaponry.

Grid Avatar – Greetings Program.
Last of the Tomy Tron tributes, translucent blue over cyan grid-style paints. This is based on Flynn, down to the painted “sash / toga” top on the torso.
The blue appears to be not quite the same colorway as that if the Jesse figure, bit that makes sense given the different lines being represented.
Using the Triceratops head mainly because I haven’t shown it on a body yet and it is a pretty sweet sculpt too.
Unlike the Grid Enforcer or Battler, his shield is round and has a nice “identity disk” pattern, echoing that of the logo on the belt of the Battler or moreso the Enforcer .

He also came with 3 glow in the dark Clawbber parts, a tonfa, knife and helmeted human head, in addition to removable armor, shield and 5 bonus heads. I may prefer Flynn as an Orc or Shaggy-haired human the most, though the dino heads are a lot of fun!

Overall, the 4 Tron tribute figures are well done, are durable, highly detailed with good paints. They look and feel like they will stand up to a lot of play time and will be attractive on a shelf display. There is good diversity in the molds, colors and accessories, plus having add on glow in the dark pieces are a lot of fun.
