It’s interesting seeing my entries read via other people’s pages…different colors and fonts do seem to make a difference. I get quite an alternate vibe just by a subtle change in style.

I’m in a quiet mood this morning… more interested in playing with Newt than writing in my journal.

Yesterday’s most rewarding event: Recovery of a one month old child, taken by a neighbor.

GAINESVILLE – Police are on the lookout for a woman who has allegedly taken a one month old baby from a neighbor on East Dennis street.

Hall County Sheriff’s Major Wayne Mock describes the woman being white strawberry blonde hair, wearing a striped pink and grey shirt with a short denim skirt.

“We have enlisted A Child is Missing program and have requested an Amber Alert .” Mock said.

She was last seen shortly after noon pushing the stroller down Athens Highway near the Mill Village and East Dennis Street.

Mock says the Georgia State Patrol is assisting with an aerial search and Hall County Deputies and Gainesville Police Officers are conducting a ground search.

Mock adds the parent voluntarily gave up the child with the understanding the suspect was taking him for a short walk.

The child that was reported missing Thursday afternoon in Gainesville has been found and is in good condition.

The 18-year-old who is believed to have taken the youngster and the child were found at a home for wayward girls on Brenau Avenue. The child went missing around 11:00 AM and was located just after 4:00 PM Thursday.

There is no word on why the woman allegedly took the child.

She has been taken into custody for two outstanding warrants. Currently investigators are interviewing the child’s mother and the suspect.

Earlier reports indicated the mother voluntarily gave up the child with the understanding the woman was taking him for a short walk.

The child was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for evaluation.

Las Olas Wine and Food Festival last night from 7-9 pm… got to see them setting up on the constitutional home. A bunch of folks drinking the night *after* St. Patty’s? I’d think most folks would still be wearing ice packs from the night prior. At least it benefits the American Lung Association.
