slight ringing in my ears, due to the large amount of silence. no overhead
lights, no computer fans, just the noise of being inside the browned-out
office.

the power has been off since about 9am… it is now 12:37. the ETA for a
return was 12:30.

upside, I got my desk straightened, downside, a bit behind on updating web
and a lot of police paperwork.

i really need to configure a good multi-user video conferencing system
between here, New York, and Indiana. that’ll be a to-do for next week, too.

short week next week… taking 7/1-7/4 off, just to burn some vacation time
before it expires in August. i should plan a proper vacation for next year.

thank goodness that it’s so overcast… if it were sunny, it’d be an oven in
here.

i think it’s sort of silly to keep the office fully staffed… only one
phone available, main number is forwarded to my cellular.

i guess this is good hurricane drill training for the fpl guys.
