I’m not the only Mid-Atlantic megafauna in this neck of the woods. Too bad many of these critters didn’t make it to join me in the Holocene. Side note, I thought I just saw a bat, but I think it may have just been a wayward moth. Not a Mothman, unless it is not so close to bridges today. Hot again today, 78⁰F outside. Back still hurting, only did a very short walk. Mountains outside are turning from the riot of yellows, orange and golds to mostly brown, evergreen and just approaching naked now. I would guess that he frequent weather flips and wet and dry stints have made the change even faster than usual. Discovered that Roanoke Virginia has a cryptid I was unfamiliar with until recently – the Virginia Devil Monkey. ( Source: Monsters of Virginia: Mysterious Creatures in The Old Dominion by L.B. I hope you and yours are well now and later. #doodle #blueridgemountains #holocene #megafauna #roanokeva
