My early days of heavy posting is skewing my count up to about 4.8 entries a day. Comments posted – 35,841 – That’s 24 comments posted per day. I know I’ve had a few 100 days and a few 0 days.

Busy-busy day on call yesterday…. makes me appreciate MM all the more.

Since I was on call, and couldn’t do much online gaming, I hopped back a bit into GTA… Man, those Ambulance missions are hard. I would like to see a variant of it online, with team action.

The first sentence of article I, section 3 of the Florida Constitution is synonymous with the federal Establishment Clause in generally prohibiting laws respecting the establishment of religion. In addition to the Establishment Clause language, article I, section 3 also includes the language of the no-aid provision, which expands the restrictions in state aid and to religion by specifically prohibiting the expenditure of public funds “directly or indirectly” to aid sectarian institutions. For a court to interpret the no-aid provision of article I, section 3 as imposing no further restrictions on the state’s involvement with religious institutions than the Establishment Clause, it would have to ignore both the clear meaning and intent of the text and the unambiguous history of the no-aid provision.

I’m getting calls from collections companies, looking for my brother. Bad time to share his last name, and to live in the same building he did.

Fortunately, every single time I feel like I’m getting down, Newt straightens up my act. He’s a smartie. If I’m growly or snarly or whatnot, he just comes trotting up, and gives me a headbutt, and little cat-hug. That’s a standing stretch to his hind legs, and his forelegs go around my neck, or my shin, or whatever is handy, while he nuzzles.

Everyone should get some Newtie-love… it’d make the world a better place.

Speaking of the world being better, I’m pleased with the number of new buddies I’ve made in the last span or so of time. My old pals are lovely, too, of course, but it’s especially nice to have fresh seasoning in the mix.

I have all aired episodes of Lost stored now.. I just have to burn them off to VCDs to Free up the space. Right now, it’s about 2.7 gigs. Not a lot since I’ve removed most of my piggy games from the system, but it’s nice to maintain housekeeping.

Danny and I were coming up with quotes to put under his yearbook, supporting his school’s all-girl volleyball team, “The Lions”.

Ideas i came up with, but were rejected for reasons of propriety were –

• There’s nothing more attractive than a positively-charged lion!
• Lions? I thought it was loins!
• Who’s this Annette person I keep hearing about? (Lame volleyball pun)
• Even Nero rooted for The Lions! (probably way too inappropriate for a Christian school.)

Shouldn’t an all-girls team be called “The Lionesses”, anyhow? That was what led me to remember an old superfriends comic books where Jayna turned into a peacock…rather than a peahen. even at 11 years old, I knew that something was up… does that mean she could say “form of a human male”? Considering that Zan could change into a water/ice form of anything… I’m afraid to do a search on wonder twin fanfic. I don’t know if I could handle underage transgender incest superhero stories… with a monkey. Poor Gleek.

For what it’s worth, I think that Zan had better powers… sure, he was limited to water and ice forms, but why would a “Icy Mammoth” be any worse than “Woolly Mammoth”? He was effectively invulnerable… you could shatter him, melt him, turn him to water vapor, but he was still cohesive and able to act with some volition… and he could become machinery too.. a jet engine at least once. Jan as a woolly Mammoth would be wiped out with a bazooka… or more likely, a punch from a pissed off telepathic gorilla.

I originally thought that mauled only applied to a bear attack, but in my googling, I came across this site – actresses mauled by lions.

I guess that’s a throwback to one of my favorite old SNL skits : “Looks at Books: Mauled”… Sakes… you can look anything up on the internet!

Brother oozed out of the shadows last night to pick up his Xbox and games. He picked up valuables, rambled a lot and was basically a jerk.

He’s been drinking, and probably using. I caught him in numerous lies, and he went off on the mother for not backing off of her commitment to never loan him money again. I watched him like a hawk while he went through his things… his broken brain wanted to go through some of my personal containers; things that hold
my tech stuff, and tools.

I’m glad that I can rely on Newt… fall back on his affection.

Interesting, that Islam keeps track of the moon’s shape by visual cues, to see when the holy month changes. MM will be scanning the sky for the crescent of a new moon to usher in Eid-al-Fitr, the three-day feast that signals the end of Ramadan, the Muslim month of fasting. I won’t know if she’ll be able to take call on Saturday until sometime Thursday night, it seems.

Walking home from getting supper yesterday, I saw a man get hit by a car, a major strike, one of his shoes flew off and skittered against the curb. He seemed externally ok… he was helped to his feet, and was walking fairly well, but the people that hit him took him (I assume) to the hospital to be checked out. I can still hear the “Skid-thump” in my head… I’m glad it wasn’t a gory accident.

They recovered his shoe, and took it with them. That makes me contemplate about why some folks like to be shod or just collect shoes so much? I certainly prefer to go barefoot wherever and whenever I can. I can see the pleasure or sense of security that having your feet wrapped in socks might bring, but shoes… That seems to be something else… a sense of looking nicer, maybe? Most people think that the human foot is an unattractive part of the body, if they think about it at all. (I don’t even know which mental direction to take, when talking about fetishists… what little I’ve seen in that department seem to prefer costuming and shoes, but I could be completely off on that area of interest.

With some women and shoes seems to be like some men and tv-sports. That is, I don’t get either attraction by either group, and I’ve seen a small crossover of women interested in tv-sports, but I don’t know of any men that are big into shoes… of course, I don’t hang out with many “Metrosexuals” either.

Maybe it’s like the compulsion gamers get to buy dice? I don’t know. Speaking of gaming, I think Incredibles actually diminished my urge to play city of heroes.. I miss the family-style roleplay of Champions.
