Weeping Cherry tree… the things my gal gets me thinking about…

This variety of Cherry Tree is non~fruiting….The average mature height for this variety is 25 to 30 feet tall by 25 feet in width. This tree looks to be over 40′ tall. A rare find considering most grown is this area loose several limbs to borer insects and weather damage before reaching maturity. I plan to go back and take another photo in a few weeks when it is flowering………….Truly a sight to behold!

Got an Idea from sweetalyssm…she’s changing her desktop theme today, so I’m going to go to all the machines today, and put wallpapers on the network names..

Emerson, Twain, Poe, Newton, to name a few.

about 15 machines in all… that’ll give me something to research over time. one a day. 🙂

Landlord’s Girlfriend signed for my DSL modem last night, it turns out. She didn’t leave a not on my door or anything, I had to find out by checking ups tracking. As soon as it’s a reasonable hour, I’m going to try to retrieve it.

I wonder if she even looked at who it was for, or if she’s already opened it up. We’ll see. UPS says she signed for it at 6pm. I’m glad that stuff is tracked in some way…. Sheesh.

Freakazoid comes on at 5:30 on cartoon network. time to start recording it!

Objectives.

1. Get a new recorder… haven’t played in a month!
2. Do more writing. Laptop means it’s even simpler to do. No excuses.
3. Make a point of getting the network card from Astley, so I can share files, soon.
4. reformat big brain, to allow for dual boot between Me(h) and Red Hat… Can be done, now that Lappie is stable and cool.
5. Get a New Job, already! (Or at least get more paying little contracts… the grove was a boon)
6. Get w/Cathi & Dave, to wish them a happy pregnancy.
7. Get w/Dan, before spring Break is over!
8. Get w/Derek this Sunday, Lunch and a talk, probably.
9. More time with my sweetie. (and continue to tell her how much I love her)

That’s a good start. Goal, accomplish at least 4 before next Monday.

back from my walk, funk cleared. 🙂

Wow.. the beach is lovely today… pictured walking it with my sweet. Life is good.

Also… found a new Chinese food place, and noticed 2 massage parlors. Also, Eckerds and Publix are closed after 5 on Easter, so no food in the house. The limp lettuce & bread is pretty much digested, so I’m going to maybe order some chinese from the new place. The window of one massage parlor was especially seedy, it had 4 girls names and home numbers next to the store hours… I imagine that it’s more than just a “jack Shack” but a full-blown sex salesplace. I’ll be watching it on my walks, to see how long before it’s closed down, or if any of the strip mall of sin’s gals end up there.

I could use a nice chocolate egg. My first easter with no real goodiebag…I imagine the cadbury egg’s will be on sale soon…maybe i’ll pick up a little chocolate tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get to see Dan this week, as it’s his spring break…. not sure when… possibly this week for breakfast, before work?

Resting in front of the big brain… wondering when my love will get home.

Went to “Dinner” with my brother and his girlfriend at my mother’s place, with her and her husband. As usual, the reality of my not wanting to consume ham or any chicken parm was an odd one for my mom. The Salad was raw tomato, beet and lettuce. So, my plate had a slice of bread and loose lettuce on it. (I’m not thrilled with raw tomato or canned beet.)

Today was the first time in memory that my brother and I didn’t laugh together, before we parted company. He’s confided in me that he is on anti-depressants, apparently he started on them about a month ago. That worries me, more than a little…Later this week I’m going to talk with him about it, and get the whole story… but the short end of it was that he wanted to just eat and sleep… no real quality time spent with him today. Instead I spent 3 hours talking to his girlfriend (who’s ok, but I have a little black mark drawn over her head, because she cheated on my brother.), my mom, who was ok, but kept harping on elements of life I want no part of… I’ve discovered that I have forgiven her for her harsh deeds done to me and my brother, and that she is just annoying. Wilton, a nice guy, but my grasp of his grasp of English is so poor… our conversations were limited to showing him how to set up e-mail on the new computer.

It’s over now, and I’m glad of it.

I’m going to walk to blockbuster video, check out the DVD collection there. No. I’m not. I’m going to take a walk though, and focus on the blessings I have. The big three I mentioned earlier. Noot, Ornj, and Bro, plus, my health, the world, and all the good stuff I can find.
