Check In: Space Rabbit (2017)

I didn’t know there was a season two of Dirk gently! I thought it was cancelled. Bergsberg. More surreal than I remembered.

The town sign, which reads “Welcome to Bergsberg” and beneath (with a few letters and words missing), “ONCE YOU’RE HERE… YOU […] GONE”, which formerly read “ONCE YOU’RE HERE… YOU’LL NEVER WANT TO BE GONE”

Check In: Upgrade (2018)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6499752/

Preview for Meg looked good, Unfriended: Dark Web looks terrible but scary.

As for the movie – no real spoilers.

Upgrade is visually neat, and has some interesting world design.

Funny that the autodrive car was called loop.

Not sure why STEM needed to look at the tattoo after the fact when Grey drew the image with STEM’s help.

Funny to see Geraldine from Offspring as Grey’s mother, too.

Ending was predictable, but it was an entertaining ride.

TIL that maple syrup was promoted in the 1800s as a slavery-free alternative to cane sugar: “Suffer not your cup to be sweetened by the blood of slaves.”
