Just a quick and dirty doodle of our little family of five sitting around the TV.
Watching the latest episode of Shetland before a late dinner. Had Daniel and Jacob come by t look at our upstairs heat and gas logs, thankfully the upstairs seems to be an easy fix.
The Roses got part one of our holiday goodies, the handmade stuff will follow soon. I imagine SM and KA got their loot by now, too.

Did some chores, wrapped and prepped some of the last presents for shipping.
Dinner was a sammie from Joe’s, and after we watched some holiday movies and decorated the tree with lights.
Now, we are taking a popcorn break and watching “your christmas or mine 2” with the mermaid (mrs), jackalope(mil), squirrelcat and mothman (fil)

Got a little Christmas shopping done, got some chores done, had time to take a little walk on the Roanoke River Greenway.
The water was moving pretty quickly at points, and the weather was quite nice, upper 50s F. I picked up a little litter as I went, and got a phone call from mom as I was cooling down. The geese are pretty much gone, but plenty of mallards were enjoying a duck date, acting like tub toys on the water. Nobody else was on the greenway, only other person I saw was just having lunch in the parking lot. The area flora was just dead leaves and grass, I look forward to seeing it with a thin layer of snow on top of the around and branches, with a little ice on the river.
I caught Pearl climbing up inside the lowest of the bottom branches in the tannenbaum, but by the time I got my phone to snap a pic she had already jumped down. I imagine I’ll have other chances to catch her in the act.

Inlaws brought lights over for the tree, and I think we will put them on tomorrow, given that we have settled in to watch the latest episode of Shetland.

Had leftover baked potato topped with chili for supper, even better the second time around. I’ve got to suss out what we are doing for dinner tomorrow.

Mother in Law started dressing the tree with a couple of the baubles that i printed out today.
Tonight’s movie is Candy Cane Lane, we will see how it goes! Tivoli pizza for dinner, it was really good. Dessert was assorted advent calendar chocolates and shortbread.

Perfect tree for us.
Picked up our Christmas tree today, possibly the biggest ever, as we have 9 ft ceilings at home now. It is in the garage at the moment, waiting to slid onto the living room tomorrow, when it’ll be dressed up for the season.
Inlaws are back in town, and they kindly went with us to get lunch at cookout before we hit the tree stand.
Winding up the evening with a viewing of Christmas in Connecticut.

Going in for a checkup at the doc today, get my meds refilled, etc. Also looking to get a solid line on a good physical therapist in my region that takes my insurance.
Inlaws are returning to our domain today, and will likely stay through the new year if all goes well.
Pearl has been a maniac this morning, both upstairs in the office of my better half, and down here, mostly just leaping around and is just having a grand old time frolicking and being a cutie in general.
I get the feeling that winter is rolling ever closer, we got another little salt shaker of snow when we were out and about in the evening earlier this week.

Tried my hand at a Mari Lwyd, and I have to say, horse skulls are weird to draw.
Got takeout from El Jefe , potato tacos, bean burrito, and churros. The wait was rather long, but the food was pretty good. Probably would be much better if we are on site, but I’m not comfy doing that yet.

20,030 days out. Been fairly busy and will continue to be so for the near future.
Christmas and all that entails is fast approaching, inlaws will be back in town soon, Amy is coming to visit, and hopefully we will get to see JHC and her gang, too, all before the year rolls over. Looking forward to all of it, even if a bit more dancing is required.

Earth time – 20,028 Days in. Put in mostly work during the day today, more time at recycling, or making some phone calls, picking up groceries and etc. A typical Monday.
Mind wandered a little while driving, but otherwise I stayed on task. Might be due another Greenway walk tomorrow if I can wrangle it. Back was tricking up pretty heavily yesterday, better today, but not perfect.
Trimmed the beard back to the O beard, but it will be back to full Santa by Yuletide.
Current garb, a red t-shirt and denim blue dungarees. (When I was outside, I added black / orange socks, white sneakers, black/orange knit hat and grey zip up fleece.
Today, the lefthand sun was stronger than the one on the right. Iykyk.
