Plasty Airfix may sound like a character from Star Wars, but it’s a company that made the most wonderful action figures. With rubber trousers!

But the best isn’t the sheriff, or the water police, or candyman / road worker, or even Batman – it’s the most villainous villain to have ever villained, DR WAR!

UK comedy references: Dr War without his helmet looks a bit like Kryten from Red Dwarf, and Batman looks more like Del Boy dressed up in Only Fools and Horses!

Liked on YouTube: Seeking Peace in a Flawed World

How do we think about our own peace or comfort in a world with suffering and injustice? How do we respect the biological imperative that we need rest and respite? How do we continue to love a world that doesn’t always love us back? How much action for good is enough? How do we differentiate rest and surrender?
I don’t have all the answers, but I’m here to offer my thoughts in the hopes that they will be a comfort to you. Whatever we do, whatever we choose, it will be messy and imperfect because we are complex, natural creatures and we reflect the world that created us. And yet, we deserve love and peace and joy and rest.

Just learned of his passing. A kind person with whom I have many fond memories. Rest in Peace, Tomi Anttila .

A picture from one of our pizza get togethers with the gang circa 1990 at Kevin Albury ‘s house. Good memories of answering machine messages, action movies and commodore / atari rivalry. I will remember his Corvette with good cheer and he will be eternally linked with Elvis in my mind.

From the announcement:

It is with heavy heart, much sadness and many tears that we have to tell you that Tomi Anttila passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in the early hours of today.

Tomi had everything in place for such an event and as such there will be no service or funeral. When we have details of the celebration of his life we will inform you.

Sisto, Harold, as yet unnamed new arrivals from Bio-masters and Mighty Maniax have transformed into Sisto and the Jets! Five team glam rock band with an eye for fashion! Together with their manager, they travel from town to town, rocking the house and solving mysteries.

As I napped, apparently @maximillian_deersteak decided to manage some of the gang into a boy band, and outfitted them with glittery accessories cut from a opalescent purse that I gave her ages ago (and had since begun falling apart.)

Pearl telling her papa not to go just yet.

She has been more of a tag along sort lately. I don’t mind a bit. I occasionally call her “toot toot” because she often doesn’t meow, but just fires off a couple of high notes in succession when she wants something (usually a snack or the shades opened.)
