10,090 – Birthday!

Well, we finally went to see Avatar 3-D. I liked Sherlock Holmes more. I think that bhk said it best – like watching a moving black light poster… with less story. Still, it was very pretty.

No Macaroons this year, but lots of lovely cake – got my nose buttered and battered this year.

Saw my shadow, and so did Phil.

9602 – monday – birthday

Got my Upper GI done – will know more in 24-48 hours. A shot of fizzy pop rocks with a Barium/chalk milkshake chaser to take pictures of my plumbing.

It’s official, despite morning nausea, moodiness and dry heaves, I’m not pregnant.

This morning, when I got up – I saw my shadow, much like Punxy Phil.

After the doc, we went to have lunch at cheeburger cheeburger and then see Taken. Not bad for a fluffy "gimme back my daughter immediately or I’ll kill everyone in my way and take her back" sort of flick. spoiler, they didn’t give his daughter back immediately.

Back to work today – Still plenty sick, but I need to get things taken care of, and I’m not dying or anything.

Snow falling as I hopped aboard the train – and it stuck to the ground, crunching underfoot as I walked the last bit from the bus to the office door. It stuck until about midday. It’s about 14 degrees tonight, got up to 32 with the sun out.

Confirmation on Feb 2 off – looks like I’m going to see Punxy Phil after all! Also got the 19th off, so nice long weekend – 20th is off for all in dc – inauguration traffic nightmare averted!

Christmas Tree is outside, drying by the fire pit. I suspect we’ll use it to heat the ring, or cover it in suet and feed the little birdies. We still have fairy lights on the gutter of the house, but they are unlit – probably will come down this weekend.

BHK and I have been listening to old Time radio on XM – She seemed to really enjoy Lucy Ball in "my favorite Husband" on the ride home.

Picked up $4 worth of scratch offs of our weekly gambling habit – won $6! a $2 profit quickly absorbed by her craving for slim jims.

Happy Birthday to Kat (and 3 years of journaling!)

Today, I got my shots, and BHK visited the doc for chest pains-  turned out to be muscle-related… knot in her back radiated out to the rib area. Knot is fading considerably now, thankfully.

This afternoon, BHK and I finished Happiness of the Khatkuris, and The Dunwich horror – both were much better than I’d hoped, for totally different but similar reasons. "Bad" horror flicks, that were fun to watch, mostly because BHK was in the room with me while we lounged on the couch and ate chocolate cookies.

After the movie-fest, it was off to Selby with the in-laws – Not bad, but not the best – lots of new folks there – owners out, so the quality was a bit under par, but still good.

BHK got her big warm coat for our trip to Punxy – she’ll be toasty warm while we’re there now, I’ll wager.

Still pretty darned psyched about going to see Punxatawney Phil on my B’day. I am concerned a bit about the weather, though. Last year, it was 27 degrees, not horrid, but pretty dang cold.

It’s been snowing there all this week, and it’s only going to get chillier!

We should stock up the love cube with some hot cocoa, cider, and plenty of blankets, too. Oh, and plenty of Polka Music for the 5 hour drive. 🙂

Back to Work! Didn’t kill the beard for now, but it’s still pretty close to the face. Not quite the "wild man from borneo"

I think I bit my lip while sleeping the other night – probably the ear thing again. Pain is mostly gone now, just a little irritant here and again.

Looks like snow outside – very gray day.

My jaw still looks a little out of whack and swollen… but it’s a lot better than before.

After work, BHK and I had Chinese food with In-laws, and discussed birthday plans for me – BHK has an idea for us to go to Puxatawney, PA for Groundhog’s day –
