Albino Perimeter Three (Gorilla Bot AP3) working security. They look dumpy, but can move frighteningly fast. Unlike most flesh gorillas (albino or not) this model is happy to use armed force before breaking into melee.
I put the yellow pepper out for the squirrels, but this praying mantis saw fit to make it their own. Coloring in person was a lot more vibrant… gray browns with a really brilliant green underwing. I hope they found something tasty to eat, either pepper or the pepper acted as bait for a little bug to be a snack for this big beastie.
William Blake’s engravings were typically ultra-serious, but I can’t look at his illustration for William Hayley’s Ballads (1805) without laughing! Is this the tragic finale of a nude game of catch-the-frisbee-with-Fido that went terribly wrong?
I remember shelving this book dozens of times when I worked at the BBCL, and the cover stood out every time. The tome was disappointingly thin but it made for great curiosity browsing at the time.
