Day 20,380

It’s easy to reflect on a villain like the Red Skull these days; there have been more than a few storylines where he infiltrated the government to become president, seeding the worst cowards, fascists and bootlickers to his support staff. I was trying some side views, and I found it amusing that a side-turned noggin bone and a question mark have a lot in common. I need a star spangled avenger to toss a shield right through the mass of vulgarity headed our way. #doodle #redskull #fightfascists #marvelcomics #antifascist #punchnazis

Celebrating Hawkman’s 85 Years of Comics: November 20, 1939 – November 20, 2024 I have often thought that the best Hawkman to my mind would be Jeff Goldblum back in his “The Fly” years. He had acting chops, a neat, sort of alien set of mannerisms, a slim but muscular build, and a facial structure that just works. Plus, I would have loved to see Gentleman Ghost or Shadow Thief as baddies in a movie, too. I don’t know whom I would pick to play them, and it likely wouldn’t matter physically since I expect they would be mostly special effects. As for Hawkwoman… I dont know. I’ll be interested to see how James Gunn’s picks shake out. (Image description – Hawkman, wearing his signature winged helmet and red and green costume, flies through the air.
