7176 – Creepy dreams
![]()
Tell someone you love how you feel today!
Do it again tomorrow. Make it a habit.
Last night I dreamt that I was sleeping in the apartment next door while some sort of repairs were taking place. I came back home after taking Newt for a walk on a harness (something we haven’t done for an age) and the sliding glass door was wide open. I knew that I’d closed it on the way out. I called out to the inside of the house for folks to come out, and to come out now because I was calling the police. Nobody came outside, so I phoned the police anyway, and stupidly went inside. I don’t know where Newt went, but I wasn’t worried about him. I walked the area out, and found some vagrants sleeping in the living room. I told ’em to get out, and they did so… one man was foul smelling and had a backpack that looked something belonging to my brother. I asked the guy if the bag was his, and he said that he didn’t know… we opened it up and my bro’s old skateboard was in there. I told the guy to hit the road, but leave the bag behind. I thought I’d checked the whole place out, and got ready to sleep for the night. right as I was starting to bunk down, I rolled in bed and saw that next to me was a person being prepped for minor surgery. I got up, apologized, and went to go sleep in the bathroom tub. when I closed the door, a head fell from the crack between the top of the door and the frame, like a bad “bucket of water” gag. Shocked, I woke up shortly afterward.

Moment of Lyric (in my head):
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my open mind,
Possessing and caressing me.
Jai guru deva om
Nothing’s gonna change my world,
Nothing’s gonna change my world.
Yesterday, I pretty much just slobbed around the house, napped, slacked off and never even left the premises. No Mel, though we did speak a few times, but no visiting time. After our talk on Saturday, I figured that would be the case. I hope we still get together tonight.
myspleen.net has links to torrents of the angry beavers (and mst3k, and venture bros). I’ve been waiting to get a few of those episodes for quite a little span. I blame Micah Wright’s poor writing for the demise of the show… the episodes he wrote were a sure death knell. The early Episodes by John Requa and Glenn Ficara had a lot more life, intelligence and humor to them.
Between the Filth and we3, Grant Morrison’s use of ginger cats is a little disturbing.

Hello and how-do-you-do, dear journal.
Ren-fest is back again.. I’m sort of burned out on ’em. If Doug isn’t performing there, no t going to happen. Not really worth the $18 for the mud show, ren-fairies and a chance to get soup in a bread bowl.
What happened? I used to really dig ’em. Hm, come to think of it, I haven’t had Sugar Smacks…or whatever they’re called now, since sugar is such a bad, bad word. I don’t know why they changed it from Honey Smacks to just ol’ Smacks. MM.. I want a big bowl of SMACKS. Sounds like someone wants a punch in the nose, or three, not a tasty breakfast.
Bro called, and I’m still not sure why. he talked about starting his own church so he wouldn’t have to pay taxes… I explained to him that it didn’t quite work that way, and how much effort was involved in doing it legitimately. Who knows, though? Maybe a little morality will splash off on him in the process.
I’m not sure what term I like best for where I live. Sanctum? Den? Lair? Nest?
A survey by Keebler shows that 61% of men prefer pretzels shaped like circles, while 63% of women prefer pretzel rods.
Moment of Lyric –
and i know you know
you touched my life
when you touched my heavy heart
and made it light
Most of Saturday was spent sleeping… The only fresh air I got was a trip to the grocery store.

7174 – We burn them to ashes… and then burn the ashes.
Dreams of being some sort of calcified Stretch Armstrong last night. I was myself, but everyplace on my body that I could feel bone crumbled when I pressed with a little effort. I was afraid to crush my face, but popping my knuckles and stretching my fingers like taffy was almost hypnotic. Now that I’m awake, I think I would’ve tested on something safer, like my little toes or something. I’m glad I still could walk upright and use my limbs normally, too.
The sun was an odd color of orange… for some reason, my entire dream took place at sunset.. for hours and hours.
More on the google diarist who was fired over his journal
I’m back on my Netflix kick. I’ve got my DVD burner ready to rock and roll. Er, I mean, I’m looking forward to watching lots of good movies.
I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that I live around the corner from the Cosmic Muffin , a houseboat made out of Howard Hughes’ Boeing 307 stratoliner (a variant of the B-17 Flying Fortress).
Pictures of it parked at the Riverwalk at night and during the day.
It’s pretty keen…when I first saw it, I got the sense that it was submersible.

Did Laundry Yesterday, so I have the whole weekend chore-free. This morning’s clothes are still warm from the dryer, as were last night’s sheets when I got in bed. A very comforting feeling.
I hope to spend at least Monday, maybe Sunday with Mel. Saturday is going to be another walkabout day, I think, and tonight… well, I think I’ll just mellow out at home with the Newtster and my birthday books. Also, I still haven’t watched last Wednesday’s lost. That’s probably on the Friday agenda, too. Maybe work on a writing assignment.
The Room – sort of a quiz thingum.
7171 – Thursday.

Bro is talking about going back to Hawaii, or living off of disability someplace cheap. Wide dispersal of ideas.
Got my latest link income from the homepage.. they had me change the format a little, but no big deal. I’ve turned it around and sent it off to AmeriCares (as the last was put on Asha.) I can’t think of anyplace better to assist at the moment. For more info, see my bio page or this entry.
I plan to take my link earnings for charity and good works this year. Another in my “lazy-man helper” deals, like donating blood. No effort, and there’s at least a little bit of difference made. I’m not one for tithing, but I think helping proved charities is a good thing.
I miss CJ.
Dan’s school is getting Latin and Forensics (Debate) soon.
I talk to Mel at least once a day, usually twice. I think I’m her best friend. We’re still getting together for V-day.

A fellow named Kerby once mentioned to me (not too long ago, in fact) “All problems are love problems.” He’s a smartie.
Happy Chinese New Year, Ash Wednesday and Tết Nguyên Ðán
Farewell Monkey. Hello, Rooster.
Yesterday flowed reasonably well, all things considered. Good things could still be ahead. I’m stymied and fragmented today, understandably so. There’s promise in the future, though we might have to trim a little scar tissue and work around a few things. Good stuff is worth a little work, so no worries.
Make a flower out of any URL. I have no idea how it decides what goes where.
I want to write a letter to a long lost friend and love. Maybe even mail it off.
The latest on that girl who allegedly had her mom murdered, then posted about it in her journal.

Woo! Lovely Birthday Prezzie came in the mail yesterday! Thanks mucho, kindly little doo-bee! I’ve been wanting to read it since I knew it was compiled in one volume.
My cable went out last night for about an hour. The house is a lot more quiet with no tv sounds in it, filling the background.
Bad juju yesterday. Monday, throughout. New moon today, maybe things will start fresh along with it.

Anyone want to bring me a Kind Veggie Burrito with Falafel, or some “Nothing died for this chili” chili?
They also give out free condoms.
Wow, Ol’ Supes really is a jerk, isn’t he?

So, apparently some sort of important sporting event happened last night. Las Olas had huge projection TV screens running every few feet hours before the game was to start.
I figured it’d be a good time to go see House of Flying Daggers (click on the bold words for scotto-snaps at the movie) on the big screen at the local cineplex. I wasn’t the only one. There were approximately five people there besides myself.
While I was out on my Sunday walk, I discovered the latest hubbub from one of our resident artists. In the area around 2nd and Andrews, some enterprising person glued glass (or plexiglass) tiles to crosswalk signals. Hand painted face with the words “Robert did it” underneath. it looks like the face was drawn on first, then painted, and then some sort of bonding agent was applied, and then stuck to the metal crosswalk poles. It reminded me of leftyrok for some reason or another. I wonder if Robert is the same guy that did the blue bikes?
- Robert did it (did he bend the sign?)
- and he did it again, twice!
- and another dose
- and again, by the museum ‘f art
- And again, by McCrory’s
- and again, by the library
Hmm.. I didn’t realize that I’d gotten a picture of my shoe-toe in some of the ant pictures yesterday.
