I’ve been scribbling a lot of abstract doodles lately… fun to do. I miss the coloringbook community in its prime.

In 1787 the Continental Congress of the Confederation commissioned the first penny. Designed by Ben Franklin, the front featured the sun rising over a sun dial. The word “Fugio,” Latin for “I fly,” sat next to the sundial, and the motto underneath, which admonished everyone to “Mind Your Business.”

Lack of interest in CoH lately… I hope that Freedom Force 2 has a good multiplay options and game world. CoH has the best team play games of any system I’ve ever seen, though. Nice balancing system between casuals and hardcore gamers.

Not much to report this morning… Vague dream memories. Sensations of filtered rosy light, ease and comfort. I didn’t want to get out of bed, but one does what one must.

My early days of heavy posting is skewing my count up to about 4.8 entries a day. Comments posted – 35,841 – That’s 24 comments posted per day. I know I’ve had a few 100 days and a few 0 days.

Busy-busy day on call yesterday…. makes me appreciate MM all the more.

The first sentence of article I, section 3 of the Florida Constitution is synonymous with the federal Establishment Clause in generally prohibiting laws respecting the establishment of religion. In addition to the Establishment Clause language, article I, section 3 also includes the language of the no-aid provision, which expands the restrictions in state aid and to religion by specifically prohibiting the expenditure of public funds “directly or indirectly” to aid sectarian institutions. For a court to interpret the no-aid provision of article I, section 3 as imposing no further restrictions on the state’s involvement with religious institutions than the Establishment Clause, it would have to ignore both the clear meaning and intent of the text and the unambiguous history of the no-aid provision.

I’m getting calls from collections companies, looking for my brother. Bad time to share his last name, and to live in the same building he did.

Fortunately, every single time I feel like I’m getting down, Newt straightens up my act. He’s a smartie. If I’m growly or snarly or whatnot, he just comes trotting up, and gives me a headbutt, and little cat-hug. That’s a standing stretch to his hind legs, and his forelegs go around my neck, or my shin, or whatever is handy, while he nuzzles.

Everyone should get some Newtie-love… it’d make the world a better place.

Speaking of the world being better, I’m pleased with the number of new buddies I’ve made in the last span or so of time. My old pals are lovely, too, of course, but it’s especially nice to have fresh seasoning in the mix.

I have all aired episodes of Lost stored now.. I just have to burn them off to VCDs to Free up the space. Right now, it’s about 2.7 gigs. Not a lot since I’ve removed most of my piggy games from the system, but it’s nice to maintain housekeeping.
