Went over to Chris and Mandy’s for a cookout and general socializing – nice day, and the people were conversational and friendly. I missed out on the good eats because it seems that the antibiotics I’m taking don’t work well with cereal-milk – had a sourbelly all day.
Chris and Mandy (and Sarah and James/John?) seem like really fun folks to hang with – Philomena next door looks like a wonderfull addition to the neighborhood too. maybe we can all get together for a game night sometime – or maybe a boy’s night and a gal’s night split sometime, too?
tired as all get out – still recovering from our little visitor – but it’s a good tired. I’m looking forward to Bugah’s visit in two weeks! It should be interesting to see the shift form a 6 year old girl to 11 year old boy!

parked and waiting for misti, neil and bugah to meet us for lunch and then take emily back after her week with us. maybe while we’re across state lines, we’ll pick up some fireworks on the cheap! jaw is still a little sore from yesterday’s tooth extraction, but not nearly so bad as yesterday after the numb-drugs wore off. since misti and company were running a little late, we stopped off at the amish market and picked up a dozen ears of corn (13 to the dozen there) a chocolate shoo fly pie(no tallow or lard) and an assortment of homemade cookies. bhk got me a lemon whoopie pie and em got a cup of sweet mint tea. recovery disks off to a good start reinstalling windows on d4100y – should be done with reboot cycle by the time we get home.

had my tooth pulled – crown was too far gone to save. may get a bridge sometime after I get work. That’s $198 for those keeping track of uninsured costs at home!

em, bhk and i went to the marine museum – my crown fell out, but ems loose tooth is still in her head. rode the wm tennison and saw lots of osprey nests, not to mention jellyfish and otters

em, bhk and I are at 5 guys – later, we’re going to do / see some mad science, including a glowing pickle and an exploding potato – earlier, bhk and I taught her how to force at minimum a stalemate in tic tac toe / trip trap trop (swedish version of the game). em and bhk spent some time in our pool today, while i rested for a bit – back is tricking up. lots of snap beans in the garden harvested, too! i’m going to miss em when she leaves this weekend.
