Saw Phoenix as I was leaving work today… she’s currently jobless – apparently some club drama caused her to bail. We had a hug and got caught up with things. She might be preggers, too. I still don’t know what happened with Gil and co. She has a lot more freckles than I realized… I gave her a business card and offered to see if we could find her a gig as a tech (which the company needs).

Amazing how a $100,000 loan can turn into $250,000 when paid back over 30 years. The power of interest.

State utility regulators Wednesday approved an fuel-cost increase for Florida Power & Light Co. that will hike an average customer bill by 19 percent starting Jan. 1. The increase would drive an average 1,000 kilowatt hour monthly bill up by $16.99 to $108.61, up from $91.62.

I’m on day 17 of having no A/C, no Fridge, no Big-brain computer and no stove or microwave oven. Not really a tragedy. I do fine since I have hot showers, some lights and some internet resources. Students have to make up 6 of the 11 missed school days. (shortened Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, mostly.)
