We are officially heading to Florida via the Love cube on Tuesday, which means we’ll be arriving sometime on Wednesday afternoon.

If anyone reading this message in a journal-bottle sees this, is between DC/Maryland and Key West, and wants to meet with BHK and I sometime over the next two weeks, please let us know! Newton and Pye won’t be comind with us, the in-laws will be babysitting them closely while we’re gone.

I’ve been out of sync in posting to my journal lately and writing in general. It figures, since I have a new writing group going via email. I am hoping that my tardiness doesn’t slow down the project, especially since I’ll be out of good communications for the next couple of weeks.

While I’m in Florida I’ll be getting my Driver’s License, so I may even be able to do some of the driving on the way back. It turns out that it’s easier to take the test in Florida than to wait 3 years and do the rookie driving program in Maryland… especially since Florida doesn’tr want to send my expired license records to points North.

Additionally, we’ll be reiviewing the condo for repairs and upgrades, before we get another tenant there, doing a little low-grade vacationingon the cheap, too.

Back is a bit more sore than yesterday, but I have been good about walking over an hour a day, every day. I can feel that some exess weight has come off already, and that’s a good thing.

Apparently the IME (independent medical exam) claims that I’m back to where I was before my fall. Nope- not so. Fortunately, I’m still good for one more epidural with them, and then it goes to my regular insurance.

Hell, as long as I don’t have to pay more than a minimum to get fixed to a point where I can function, whatever works. Apparently, I missed my #3 injection due to Denise the receptionist’s oversight – she claimed I was unable to get the shot due to worker’s comp not being properly phrased.

We’ll see how this turns out.

In other news – BHK and I may go see our Tuesday movie, or we might go on walkabout in a bit. time will tell, dear journal.

Looking for a ew renter for out Deerfield beach condo – old tenant is great, but he moves back to Brazil this month.

Bear Scare in Ohio cracks me up.

Back to work – saw Franklin – he was very populare with a group of Asian tourists at the hotel. I got a moment to give him a little head-rub and visit before work, though.

Pleasant news of the day found my cousin Inger on facebook… amazing – last time I saw her, she was something like 7 years old – now she’s a college sophomore! I’m looking forward to reconnecting, and hearing what that neck of the family has been up to in the midwest.

Additionally, we bought $4 worth of scratchers after work – we won $7… $3 profit! We promptly squandered our earnings on diet soda and corn chips.. with a few pennies to spare!

Some issues happening at the Condo in Florida – we may lost our renters over it – I hope not, but we’ll see what goes down.

No news about Bro – he should be out of the pokey in about a month, Shannon and the Baby lately – I hope bro is ok – If the renters move out, I’m happy to give him the furniture at the condo to get started off again (a bed, dresser, futon, dining room table, some chairs, box o’ drawers w/ dishes & utensils, tv and tv stand.

BHK made taster veggie-brats & kraut for supper – I’m full as a tick.

Hitting the sack early – no tv tonight, maybe just a little book time before bed.

  • Insurance is going to pay to repair the wheel issue on the love cube.
  • BHK got $9 back in cash and free popcorn and cheap soda pop at Safeway.
  • It’s Friday!
  • BHK made yummy veggie soup.
  • Ugly Betty was pretty fun!
  • Promising emails in the works, regarding the condo association.

apparently April did get her job at Barnie’s… even though the manager she was supposed to call wasn’t in, she’s already on the schedule for Tuesday at 2:30! Such a relief… one less weight on ther shoulders, and now we can focus on the next items on the Big list o’ things to be done.
