Customized 3d print of “Dewey” Drone droid from the movie silent running. I tried to put a faded “6” in the vent work on the front, to make it look a little like the guys from the movie, and to homage the Prisoner tv show. (Also the 6th item I ran on the printer) Colored it out in an attempt to make if look a little “Kirby-like” in the lines and color, it pretty much pops in black light.

Color change gonk green when cool, orange when warm. When it is green it seems to be a little translucent, to where the can see other colored filament inside.

The support filament is nice, peels away like onionskin. I did get a little overeager, and may have to fill a crack in gonk’s ankle where I cracked it.

The cargo pod turned out fairly well, can act as sci-fi scatter.

First test print of 4 different filaments on one print. Doing a 3.75 scale Gonk droid and a little 28mm scale cargo container from silent running on the same plate. 17 hours print time, so I guess I will know come the sunrise. Most of the time will be spent switching filaments, because I got a little zany with the painting tools. I would say this print job with one color would probably only take about 5 hours otherwise. If I had applied the carbon fiber stuff with normal pla, it looks like the heat difference between the different types would reflect poorly on my final product.

The slicer is based off of the prusa one, pretty intuitive.

While browsing through Avengers Annual #7, I was struck by the character of Qu’lar the Massive. As far as I know, he made only one appearance in Marvel continuity, but in this one comic, Qu’lar left a lasting impression on me with his imaginative design. From his visible brain dome to his functional robotic arms, and his striking fashion sense of a green loincloth with matching suspenders. Beast and Captain Marvel also had some memorable quips.

Writer and penciler: Jim Starlin. Inker: Joe Rubinstein/Jim Starlin. Colorist: Petra Goldberg. Letterer: Tom Orzechowski.

Knives Out/Glass Onion fans, I can safely assure you that the pilot of Poker Face is as excellent as Rian Johnson’s other mystery work.

Natasha Lyonne is a great as the fantastic mess that is Charlie Cale. Delightful character. Haven’t watched the other 3 as yet available episodes so far but I’m sure they’ll still be jim dandy, in the.spirit of the Rockford Files and Columbo. Highly recommended. https://instagr.am/p/Cn8LsCMMhkp/
