still home – travelers insurance / workman’s comp checked in on me to be sure issues were ok. I’ll be back to work on Monday. rainy day – bhk puffy still – she’s going to go back to the doc if things don’t change.

Catching up with Tivo, reading and netflix – Poultrygeist was as bad as we thought it might be! I’m happy that primeval is back for a third season! Run, Fat boy, run was not too bad, either. Or the drugs are making my resistance to stuff like that lower. 🙂

Bhk eyes red and puffy – pepper reaction seems to be getting worse. She went with me to see to Dr moody – confirmed that i should stay out until at least Monday. Prescribed some drops for BHK, and rest for me. I will have a follow-up appt on Wednesday.

I spent April fool’s day fading back and forth from dreamland.

I mostly napped – spent the day in muscle-relaxant torpor.

BHK and I had some tasty black-pepper popcorn – bhk may’ve had an allergic reaction, or a steam hit? She’s a little red around eyes and a little arm area.

While doped up, I spent a little time playing with the panorama-stitching program (haven’t used it in ages)

Long Meeting at work today – 9am-3pm. Fortunately, BHK and the inlaws picked me up right after – headed off to Cheeburger Cheeburger – they have a Lenten menu! Veggie burger for me, and a chocolate cherry milkshake – BHK got a wrap (new!) fluffernutter shake, superhero jammies, pictures of me and mine from ages ago.

SNOW DAY! Working from home – snow is still pretty fine… swirly dust that gets picked up by the slightest breeze. Lots of deadly-looking icicles on roof-edges, too. I imagine sand behaving in a similar manner during a desert storm.

Working inside while there’s so much wintry wonderland is tough… but it’s easier because the ol’ back is sore – I’m more than a little fearful of falling down and not being able to get back up on the unsteady footing outside. That said, I still managed to take a little midday break and see the white stuff before it decides to all melt away tomorrow. (or not? Tomorrow is sunny, but only supposed to be about 25 all day?)

Tonight, we relaxed and picked up some more leftover tube while I worked on some projects with the tiny laptop.

Poor Middleman- on Dollhouse? That’s sad…. I miss Middleman and don’t much dig Dollhouse’s Mind-rape vibe so far – But then, I’m not a huge Whedon-fan, either. It’s fine to have going in the background while I work on code or other elements.

I played a little bit of Fallout 3 this afternoon while waiting for the in-laws to show up for supper – pigs in blankets!

Once they got here, I got a telephone call from my mom – just gabbed a bit, but when I came back out, the in-laws were ready to take off. I guess they weren’t too into The Fall. BHK and I liked it – I really enjoyed just staring through it – nifty costumes and sets.

Photos from this evening. Featuring snow that looks like ping pong balls in the light of a flash, blue lit room due to pausing the tv, and a phantom kiss from BHK due to a long shutter opening. Also seen is the "Rosy Glow" due to light diffraction outside.

Funny to me that we get more snow on the first day of March than the rest of winter combined. Looks like about 8 inches tonight… powdery, no crust… like confectioners sugar with some glitter tossed in for effect. Maybe tomorrow will be a "Snow Day" and I can work from home!

Back to work! Light dusting of big fat flakes of powdery snow which was pretty in the morning, but melted away before noon came.

Larry and Chris came over for dinner of potluck leftovers – and made fresh hot dogs. Well, it was nice having them over, in any event!

BHK is worried about neighborhood kitty – she’s already named it Priscilla. I think Pris will be ok – she’s very healthy and clean… If we keep seeing her, we’ll make her a little bed and give her some food.

Snow! The neighborhood, Pye playing, and Pye & Newt watching from inside on cam. Pye just loves the snow, but it confuses poor Newt. Clicks embiggen.

A wave of low pressure will continue to bring snow and sleet to the area today. A brief lull in the precipitation is expected this afternoon… before a second stronger low pressure wave will bring a wintry mix of precipitation tonight and Wednesday. Precipitation will be mainly in the form of snow and sleet this evening… but a change over to freezing rain and rain is expected overnight as warmer air is drawn into the system. Temperatures will remain in the lower 30s Wednesday allowing for the rain to freeze on some surfaces.

Total snow and sleet accumulations through Tuesday night will be 2 to 4 inches and total ice accumulations for Tuesday night through Wednesday morning will be one to two tenths of an inch.

Didn’t get together with Todd today – the weather was too bad to drive to meet him. We made it home ok – all of the soft poweder of the morning had a layer of slick ice over the top of it. I’m glad that we managed to see him yesterday! It sounds like he had a good time checking out the monuments – I’m sure that they were extra nifty-looking with the layers of snow everywhere.

Had Pigs in Blankets for dinner, with string beans on the side. pretty nummy!

Watched some Psych (Sort of lackluster episode about firemen/arsonists) and part of The Beast before hitting the sack – until later, dear journal!

Slow, lazy day today. We slept extra late, napped while watching Pick of Destiny, went to Aardvark’s, said hi to Shaun, Margaret, and Mike, picked up a few video tapes for 4 bits apiece, I had a bit of a blackout/tunnel vision event that I’m chalking up to low blood sugar for now (recovered after swigging a coke) , and then headed off to Mexico for a bite of supper.

When we got home, we snuggled up again like happy little bugs in a rug and watched the inauguration concert on the boob tube.
