Chilly this morning!

Created an account at stickam.com, a video/audio broadcasting site like mogulus , but it seems to have a few more controls. I might make it my default streaming site for when I have the laptop with me. Feel free to friend me there – it looks like a lot of fun so far.

Google image search now includes a color filter ? pick the drop down, ad you can narrow it to red, or whatever color monkey you’re searching for. also breaks it down into faces, line art and news pics, which is neato. This makes seeking out images for the coloring book community something easy.

8104 – system still out for repair.

GeotargetThis card is my problem with compusa, along with really poor communication or support /offering of alternatives.

In a nutshell, it’s been since November 10th that my Computer has been at the shop… everything else needing repair is fixed according to them.

However, that bad boy has been out of stock at the manufacturer, and at all known compusa stores in a 50-mile radius for the last 8 weeks.

With a $500 price tag, I’m obliged to wait, because I really can’t drop that chunk of change on something that I should be getting under warranty.

The guys at the shop have given me two timelines, both of which have passed, now. I’m not quite sure what I can do, save for waiting.

Meanwhile, I have to do my work on poor ol’ Battered lappie, My Toshiba satillite back from a time when Windows Me (I’ve long since replaced that with win2k pro) was “cutting edge”.

I’d say that the only time I’ve had worse customer service/ communication was with Comcast… I have since boycotted them, though I’ve heard that they might not be so bad in other areas outside of SoFla.

Not having big brain has cost me some very significant social chat and play time in 2nd Life, LAN party activities with the old FMM crowd are out of the picture… plus, all of my downloaded movies / Netflix DVD archives are ground to a halt while the machine is gone… not to mention a lack of Newtcam.

I never realised how many people watched good ol’ Newt during the day… I’ve gotten somthing like 80 emails politely requesting when he’ll be back online again. If Big Brain is down another week, I’ll hook Newtcam up to Lappie so folks can get an orange kitty fix.

I can only imagine what happens when pretty girls shut off their webcams. I suspect horny stalker-type guys aren’t nearly as polite as cat fanciers.

I heard the sound of water dripping on tile, looked down, and noticed my foot was bleeding. A tiny puddle of red had formed, before I staunched the flow with a paper towel. I have no idea what I cut myself on, but I didn’t even feel it.

Going out to lunch with Jenjen this afternoon. Hopefully, it’ll be funfun!

I wonder what GrayPumpkin is up to these days… hopefully he’s just busy. Oct-Dec can be quite a time for him and Katt, visitor-wise and so on.

I suspect all the power spikes gave it a fry. Next paycheck, I’ll grab a new video card, and see how that works.

I heard that quote played in the background while I was reading stuff online. The show was Supernatural but I thought about how keen it would be if these two were just delusional murderers raised by some psycho who got trotted off to jail. I flashed to the “monster hunters” are killing innocent people who were impeding there progress in recovering their father from some institution…. the show, instead of being another “Project Bluebook/X-files/Chill Game” type gig could instead be the insane POV of a pair of guys sublimating homicidal activities with some severe schizo hallucinations. Two guys traveling around leaving a trail of bodies in their wake, blaming invisible “monsters” nobody’s ever seen. The FBI is going to take ’em down, and soon.

That said, I actually kind of like Supernatural for what it actually is… yet another bogey-hunter show.

She checks the pipe, while I tighten the lug nutsWeirdo dreams last night… I dreamt that I was a professional shopper.. one of those guys that goes to stores, buys something, and then appraises the salespeople. I was pretty nice overall, but got mad when a lady figured out who I was, and tried to bribe me with free hats.

Hmm.. I was hasty on judging the Newtcam dead… it looks ok this morn… I guess it’s just spotty. (I’m still getting a new one, soon.)

Egads! There’s a Cap’n Crunch and (even better) Jean La Foote action figure! I wonder if Jean’ll be at the toy fair this thanksgiving.

Regarding the picture… It’s my sweetheart and me working on the steam-powered battle tank… Let’s see the zombies get through this! Undead meanies… if there are any mummies, they’ll be dry enough to use for fuel!
