Got back from the grove. They’re *very* cool there.

I had some fresh juice, and they seemed amenable to my rates… They didn’t offer to pay me in fruit, but real folding money, and they *gave* me a nice jar of orange blossom honey. I’m going to be all over that on Saturday. 🙂 You know how bears like honey, right?

I’ve had about a quart of OJ today already, and I’m a little worried that only juice mice be a bit acidic, so I’m going to do water until I get home. Tomorrow, it’s going to be baby carrots and other raws… but no dressing.. that will be welcome. 🙂

stare into the sun

it’s not even up yet, but I’m awake, in synch with my sweetie. 🙂 (Sunrise is due in another hour or so) Wrestling with baby Newt… he’s grappled my foot, and is having at it with his tiny needlejaws. I seriously think he’s having more fun with the box for the laptop than I’m having with the laptop itself… (and I’ve had a great time… ) I wonder what folks think, when they see my hands close up… tiny little scratches on my hands from mock combat… play raked… (and I know it’s play… you should see what the boy does to stuffed animals or cardboard. eep.

in other news, I should have my DSL modem by this time next week, and be networked on it the following day… so I should be able to freely use all my nifty look on the big brain on lappie. (and vice versa). I’ve been working too hard recently, but half of it (the non salary half) has been looking profitable. I have a meeting in about 3 hours with the head of the grove, about doing some programming for them… I hope it continues to work out.

Happy Day

I’m feeling good. 🙂 Very much so.

Plans for this week.

Today – Drink only water
Tomorrow – fresh juice only
Thursday – Juice / raw veggies
Friday – Juice/ Raw Veggies / Cooked Veggies

Flushing the system, and the plan looks like a solid one. 🙂

Bob Ross

We’ve all seen him. On some lazy afternoon when you’re flipping through the channels and you happen to get the PBS station, where there is a middle aged white man with an afro to rival anyone of the Jackson Five’s. He’s painting some sort of nature scene and all the while talking quietly and gently about happy bushes, lonely trees and the squirrels he lives with. I quote, “If you’ve never lived with a squirrel, you’ve never lived.” What a statement… His most famous mantra, the one that makes most people realize his wisdom, “We don’t make mistakes, we just have happy accidents” is simply beautiful. He had a great love for the other creatures on this earth, and preserved some of the world’s beauty in his paintings.

Thanks Bob!

Ah! Easter Week!

Soon, eggs, hot cross buns, stories of love and sacrifice, airings of the ten commandments, and giant rabbits will fill lives everywhere.

I like Easter, and I’m glad especially of the message that it brings. (and yes, the chocolate too.)

I’m just curious as to why they show The Ten Commandments… is it because it’s the best “religious” movie out there? Sort of weird mixing Moses and Jesus… Mo, well he really sort of was the action hero sort of Figure, old Test sort of stuff… Really Kicking tush for God. As opposed to the New Test single person sacrifice…

Who knows, maybe they’ll whip up a grand version of that story sometime soon.. better than showing the 7th sign on tv. 🙂

Does anyone find any irony in target using ‘beautiful world’ as a jingle? the whole song:-

it’s a beautiful world we live in
a sweet romantic place
beautiful people everywhere
the way they show they care
makes me want to say
it’s a beautiful world
for you
it’s a wonderful time to be here
it’s nice to be alive
wonderful people everywhere
the way they comb their hair
makes me want to say
it’s a wonderful place
for you
hey
tell me what i say
boy ‘n’ girl with the new clothes on
you can shake it to me all night long
hey hey
it’s not for me

I want LJ to keep a cookie on me, to remember just where I left off reading.

maybe special marker on my friend’s page? then I can read from there, chronologically forward, instead of catching news backwards through time…

For all of you who want to see Christopher Walken Dance, but don’t have MTV…

For realplayer.

Woo. Feeling the posture in my back today…. different to compute with no support… I’m going to have to get a lumbar pillow, or bunch up the blankets. I want to Dance like him…a fun place to do it!! I feel peppy just watching it. Groovy song, too…killer baseline

Newt’s very fond of the laptop box… it’s his new honeycomb hideout, to pop out of when he wants to pounce at me.

choppy, fragmented writing today. Took a walk this morning from about 10-11 am… forgot that I have to get groceries, so back out I go, soon. Also must do some cleanup, relax some…. having fun playing with Newtie.

Behind on reading my LJ buddies, but that’ll resume tonight, or later today.

Buddy Dan is getting spring break off because he’s a teacher, and I plan on spending a day with him before he’s thrust face-first into the teaching gig again. I fear he’s becoming burnt out. Also must visit Dave and Cathi *soon*…. I’ve not seen ’em since ph. I don’t know… early March, late feb, Maybe mid feb?
