Electronic Arts sends a notice. Due to the destruction of the Majestic website server, the game has been suspended. No homepage, no Majestic. The e-mail provides a link to a news website. A news article and video clip detail the explosion at the Anim-X offices where Brian Cale, co-creator of Majestic, has been killed.

Hi Scott,
I hope you don’t mind me sending you this e-mail. I got your address from Kyle. You registered for Majestic right?
Sorry Mike was so abrupt with you earlier. The past few days have left us all rather edgy and he certainly didn’t expect to find people visiting our “secret” website. He’s a little upset with kyle for giving that information out. Personally, I find it comforting. Thanks for being there.

Did you read Brian’s e-mails from that ‘contributor’ person? Why did he hide it from us? Brian could have told us he was using a ghost writer. No one would have cared.
Who the hell is that guy who wrote them anyway? He sounds like that Deep Throat guy from the Watergate scandal… like some wanna-be government informer. This may sound a little paranoid but I think the stories Brian was getting from “Deep Throat” weren’t fiction. Poor Brian just wanted to make a cool game.
Anyway. We’re still sifting through Brian’s files. Maybe there’s something in them that will shed some more light on this whole nightmare.
We’ll be in touch soon. Maybe with good news, for a change.

Hi Scott,
Kyle found a few more of those e-mails from “the contributor” or Deep Throat as Kendra has dubbed him. We’ve been going over them all day. We recognized the stories in one form or another as being part of our game. And there I was thinking Brian was a creative genius for coming up with that stuff.
This is interesting. Attached to one of the e-mails, we found a page from a document that looked very familiar. Kendra had to remind me that this document was almost identical to the one Brian had her create for a later episode of Majestic involving mind control.

We’re sending it out to everyone with the hope that someone will recognize it and help us determine where it came from. It scares me a little because, if we can authenticate the thing, get some kind of tangible proof that something in it is actually real, then that might mean that everything in those e-mails is real, which would pretty much suck, because it would mean that this shadow conspiracy we thought we made up…? they could really be out there, looking for us.
Any leads in this document might get us closer to Deep Throat, so we’re headed to Utah just in case you find something, which I hope you don’t. Nothing would make me happier than learning that we’ve all just been paranoid.
