Whee!

I got my first Christmas giftie from my amazon wish list today, and it completes my Robert Anton Wilson library. Thank you so much! I’m not sure if you want to remain anonymous or not,(so i’ll err on the side of privacy, if at all) but I know you read my journal… Thankee! New book to read! 🙂 Newt also thanks you for the new box, and plastic “factory air” that came with… it made medicating him quite simple this morning. He just say in the fresh box, and let me give him his pink antibiotics.

Sometime today I have to go out and pick up Danny’s Prezzie. It looks like a shower and walk are forthcoming after all.

I take pride in bringing people the knowledge they need, even if they didn’t think they wanted it.

Newt took his medicine like a good boy tonight, unlike the “woohoo, chase me all over, it’s a game, it’s a game” gig this morning. I’m estimating there’s another weeks’ worth of this stuff left, and It’s actually getting to be more routine. I wonder if newt’ll ever get so used to it that he’ll miss it when it’s gone? I’m glad he doesn’t seem to resent being held by the nape and having droppers of pink goop poured down his throat.

BB king is playing at the pompano beach ampitheatre tomorrow night, and it’s cool enough to open the windows… I wonder if I’ll be able to hear the music as well as my old apartment?

i’m all for finding out… I hope so… they get good music when tourist season kicks in.

Hmmm… I noticed today at lunch time that the methadone clinic up the street has closed down, and is now for lease… I wonder where the people that used to go there are now, especially at this time of year? I know the homeless population jumps in south florida when it starts to get cold… if you don’t have a roof over your head, you may as well not sleep in the snow.

also, frighteningly enough, http://www.coincidencedesign.com/ is apparently a “legitimate” business… making money by creating dossiers on innocent people… that’s got to be one of the most repugnant type of company I can think of… including advertising. some place that makes money by basically stalking someone for you? Not someone who has broken any laws mind you, nor even suspected of such, but they root through your trash, interview your old employers and loved ones by means of deception to build a file on you, in order to let some desperate, yet wealthy scumbag (not sure what else to call someone who’d pay for that sort of service.) use that knowledge against you and forge a totally false relationship grounded in lies.

How gross is that?

ah well… solace can be found in thoughts of so many true loves out there…

Going on a vacation in a week or two, not far from home, but I’m going to pick up a digicam and go on walkabout… day-trips into the city or country, and take pictures of what I see…

random ramble – something I like about my life –

I can pretty much sleep and read whenever I like. work hours make staying up late, or going to bed early very possible. I highly reccomend a mid-day work schedule.

Thinking of my beloved today… her visage and voice echo in my mind, bringing me warmth, comfort and pleasure… I’m thinking of us soaring over a soft winter landscape, covered in the snugglesome aspect of bedtime blankets and napping in a rainstorm.

Newt was bad about taking his meds… I think he looks at it as a game, “chase me!” so I had to sort of wear him down a bit before administering them.

Newt took his meds as well as could be expected… he promptly went to nibble some kibble to get the taste out of his mouth, I think.

Man, I am such a pod sometimes that it boggles the mind.

People’s motivations and drives are a total mystery to me at times…this just came to me in a flash… Danny’s going to be 40 this year! holy cow… I didn’t know how much older than me he is….7 years+.. he’s such a goof, it’s hard to remember that. I need to get his birthday presents… lotr stuff.

…In the long run, it will not be the little quirks your toddler inherited from you that really matter. Your challenge lies in not setting examples that can ruin his life. What follows is a list of the most important behaviors to cut out of your life before they are woven into the fabric of your toddler’s life:

1. Don’t smoke
2. Don’t hit or allow yourself to be hit
3. Don’t demean or allow yourselt to be demeaned.
4. Don’t lie
5. Don’t hate

If you can master those things as well as toss in all the good stuff like:

1. Love freely.
2. Be enthusiastic.
3. Honor commitments.
4. Read together.

Then you’re already miles ahead in the parenting game.

It seems to me that this would be an effective way to cure the world of it’s ills.

newtie night night all afternoon, sleepin’ off his cold…

he’s one of the cutiest…

interesting cultural comparisons… the french, brazilian, and american are all very accurate by my reckoning.

ack! I must’ve forgotten to hit send on my early morning post… it’ll show up later… when I get home tonight.

back from taking Newto to the vet…. he has a little virus and is on antibiotics… 1 & 1/2 droppers worth, 2x a day. hearkens back to when I was feeding him as a baby, and when he got sick from Fritz a while back. went straight form the vety to work, so I can babysit him more in depth today, and give him all sorts of loving. 🙂 He’s busy sniffing the areas where the puppy was yesterday… a golden retriever at about 3 weeks old… “Dexter”… adorable little thing, even if he’s a super peeing machine. Newt’s taking great interest in Dex’s wee-wee spots. (only fair… Dex was fascinated by Newt’s litterbox here yesterday, too… we had to cover it, to keep the puppy from rooting in it… it’s clean but sand everywhere is not a desired result. )

Newton’s trip…. weight – 12.75 lbs… a good weight.. he’s not as fat as he looks, I guess.

got a fecal exam, physical, an antibiotic injection, antihistamine injection, and two bottles of amoxicillin suspension. with the biohazardous waste fee, it came to a grand total of $97.50.

not bad… Newton is now 2 years and 11 weeks old. 🙂 he’ll return for his bordatella booster in about 2 weeks.

Getting Newtie ready for his trip to the vet today, before work. Last night was full of odd dreams, more surreal than real.. flashes of imagery instead of a plotline that I can remember. Going fishing, reading a colorful book to a lot of children, seeing a friends teeth fall out. strange colors and textures… anyone who says that you dream in black and white forgot to mention that you have a very real sense of what the colors are…(I honestly think that I dream in color) Ragged swatches of cloth on a makeshift flag and the beautiful brown eyes of the girl I adore can certainly attest to that.
