Flashes from a NyQuil dream

Taking a car to be repaired, it had a shower in the back that both fit me comfortably, and was discreet. Jets were a bit like windshield washer fluid, but smelled of soap. 

At the repair shop was a used paperback of a story where an amnesiac Spock killed Hitler and was running the Third Reich with uncanny evil and space technology. Wonder Woman is the only one who can stop him. 

The building was wall to wall mosaic of red, yellow and very occasionally orange tiles. I cut my arm on one and a balloon fell out tied off as a makeshift waterproof container for matches and a 3 foot length of string / fuse / detcord?

Better last night, got worse after shower this morning. Whatever I have is kicking my butt. 

Still primarily heavy cough, upper respiratory. Nose filing up more than before.

Had some good hot tomato basil soup, and it was too much for me. Going to hit urgent care if not significantly better tomorrow.

My online journal is 19 years old (started mid May 1998).

That’s nuts. 

My livejournal started about 2 years later in mid 2000, which made regular updates much simpler than editing HTML and uploading it by hand. 

Went over to WordPress maybe 8 or 9 years after that?

It’s done pretty well by me, met Allison via journalling, made a little money writing here and there, and I have a semi-public record of what I’ve been up to for the last couple of decades. 

I have a lot of private posts, but the gross majority are public, though for a long time it has just been links and random pictures that have caught my eye. Not so much long-form writing, with a few minor exceptions in years. 

Will that change? I don’t know. I do know that it sometimes feels good to workshop stuff here before launch elsewhere.
