I don’t really understand all the hatred for data centers. I really don’t. All data centers are, are enormous buildings filled with enormous machines that are actively ripping away every single resource that human beings rely on, like clean water, like clean air, like land, like energy, like jobs, like joy.

What’s the problem with that?

They’re also the systems that are holding the tools behind our mass surveillance state systems, right? Why don’t we want the expansion of a mass surveillance state, all of which’s technology sits within these data centers for the most part? Or the fact that these data centers are simply serving the back end tools for the weapons companies and weapons manufacturers who we’ve had to watch slaughter brown people on our phones every single day for the last few years. Weaponry that most likely will ultimately be used against us, used against American citizens, because that’s what history teaches us.

And of course, all of this work, all of these resources, all of this money is just going into the hands of a really small group of oligarchs. Oligarchs who have proven themselves as having no morality, no empathy, no care for what happens to the human race or the future of the human race.

And of course, now we know that a lot of people working in these AI companies actually believe that there’s a 10% chance that these AI companies will lead to the end of the human race within the next decade.

So why on earth would anybody hate data centers?
