isolation day 138, continued
Swampwalk
Went bright and early this morning, after last night’s rain. Weather was ok in the shade, about 75f or so. Sun got strong quickly, though, maybe a dawn swamp walk is in order.

Saw very few birds, maybe 3 grackles and a robin. No mosquitoes or gnats which was a pleasant surprise.

Two squirrels and no sign of alien cat or black and white kitty. I saw a rustling in the woods, but have no idea if it was a fox, cat or possum.

Spotted a cargo plane overhead through the clearing, probably headed to Andrews Air Force Base. There hasn’t been as much air traffic over town in that direction lately, I wonder what dynamic changed? There are times we would see air force one (or marine one), along with a couple of fighters alongside but maybe they are on a new route.

Air conditioning is still working at home for the moment, but I remain cautiously hopeful that it will remain.

Isolation day 138 Had our ac checked, and it is likely the ductwork or thermostat. Repair guy checked the unit and it has all the freon and is working well otherwise, despite the day prior the house got to 85f despite being set to 72f. So far the greatest variance was 7 degrees hotter than the setting, and hopefully he will be back to make adjustments so things are within a closer breadth of reading. #thermoindicator #thermostat #hottimesummerinthecity

The Democrats voted 125-36 against including Medicare for All on the party platform. Keep in mind that, depending on the poll, support for Medicare For All is up to somewhere around 80%-90% of voters who identify as Democrats.

This basically amounts to an explicit declaration that they care more about money from the health insurance industry than about the opinions and even the lives of their constituents.

These are the “good guys” in the fight we are in.

Nerd shirt of the day – the doom patrol, on canary yellow. Nice light shirt for such a toasty day.

Such a sweltering day calls for two types of yeti! A very angry-looking fellow on the left from #safariltd, and the sweetest baby snowball with a cute blue heinie from @woolgatheringcritters

Both were purchased for me by the stunning and divine @maximillian_deersteak
