We saw the artist paint the red base yesterday, and it’s nice to see it decorated as Spider-Pig again. This is the first “rerun” I’ve seen, but I think it wasn’t done by the same person since the art style is slightly different. Who knows, though? Then we went to Jamison’s, but they were too busy marking up the cost of mums to check us out, so we decided to get the butter at good ol’ 7-Eleven. Prompt – “black lagoon” Some images have a lot more time spent on them than others. I think I like the one with purple (#5) or the one with day-glo green (#8) the most, but the blurry one makes for a more underwater vibe. I don’t know, but I know that I don’t like coloring in the lips, and the mouth is a bit less “kissy” than classic Creech. I am a huge fan of all the Universal Monsters, and even though it is a late one and likely considered the last of them, I will always confess a soft spot in my heart for the amphibious fish-man monster. Aside from smoothing, some of these filters are the most fun to play around with.
Prompt is “Siren” We answered the siren call of breakfast pastries and went to grab those Ghostbusters Halloween donuts from Krispy Kreme. The slime ones (lemon-filled) have the best horrid green color! Step up your game, Dunkin’! My favorite is probably the cookies and cream, but they are all delicious sugar and grease. I gave the sirens some trident / forks for easy sailor snacking.

As of this writing, Hurricane Milton is heading to Tampa, fluctuating between Category 4 or 5, and will likely make landfall later today, shortly after Helene just tore up Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Prompt “if i were a shape-shifter” Honestly, it’s hard to choose one shape. I love owls, I love bears, I love all sorts of critters, plants, and other stuff too. I went with an owlbear, just because the idea of a giant owl with a bear’s build is hilarious and not even a little bit scary to me, even though if it existed in reality, it would be frightening as all get-out. Remember, that’s me on the left, pre-transform at 2 meters tall.
