It’s a little flattering when folks use my icons as their own… Newtie Blah-blah is the latest one discovered in use by someone else. (Sadly, I’ve had to ask her to remove it, due to reasons of senitment and copyright.)
Grabbed the latest episode of Lost after getting high marks from a few people I trust… haven’t watched it yet, but have heard that it focuses on Eko, Charlie and the monster.
Also, Doctor Who will be airing on the Sci-fi channel starting in March. Funny how they changed their tune… I guess Battlestar Galactica’s success alone couldn’t float stinkburgers like Mansquito and the bulk of it’s original programming.

Chris Yerina, from Gloversville, NY, who some may know from Respectables, O’Sheas, Culture Room, Fetish Factory parties, Club Exit, etc, or maybe as the guitarist for the bands Monkeypaw, No End, 30 Odd Sicks and Kimsagro, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday night.
They are holding a benefit in his honor tomorrow night at Respectables.
They are trying to gather up a few bands to play between 9pm and Midnight.
If you know of a band that’d like to join in honoring Chris, please have them call 754/235-5206.
There is no cover at the door, but donations will be greatly appreciated. All donations will go directly to his family to help cover the unexpected costs of his funeral services.

I’ve lost a lot of interest in Lost at the moment. Maybe when season 2 comes out on dvd, I’ll peek at it again, but it just hasn’t held my interest the last three episodes or so. I suspect it’s suffering from “Twin Peaks” syndrome. What I once considered a 9 of 10, I’m now putting at about a 6. I never cared about Shannon’s character, and really don’t much care about the new group, especially the cliche of the “tiny twerp actress (that’s not a great actress) who is supposed to be a tough badass”. Boring. Alias, Buffy, Rain. Enough already. Rodreguez in Aliens… she’s believable. The island scenery is more lovely in HD, though. I hope that it turns around soon.
Revised plans for today, no gaming – Danny prefers not to go, but I’m unsure why. I guess I’ll find out once he gets here, about 11:30am. Maybe a dip in the pool? He’s bringing a swimsuit and towel in case things are good for it. Maybe a trip to Crabby Jack’s for lunch. I’m not sure that I can make it to respectables late night, or Dave’s early night yet.

Ate dinner at RS’s house, met her boyfriend and kidlets. I got along well with them all, perhaps too well. I think RS got a little jealous of the fact that I could interact well with them when she’s had feelings of running away from all of it. She told me that I was not, under any circumstances, to become better friends with her bf than with her. I can understand her fear, but doubt that it’ll happen.
A lot of weirdness in the air at the office. I think most of it is from them trying to get RS to manage me, but none of them are giving her any solid direction, just criticism. I want to be helpful and do good at my gig, so asking me to do things shouldn’t be difficult, should it? Big Kahuna is slowing down… maybe her age is finally catching up with her?
Nice moment of chat with the weezle and she brightened my spirits considerably. Thanks!

Hm… Lj hasn’t been sending me replies since they moved the server. The Lj-mooks are blaming yahoo and gmail, but I suspect the issue is on the lj-side like it was the last couple of times over the years.
Weather is supposed to drop down to the 50s tonight.Ol’ Newtie boy will likely duck under the covers and play at looking like a nun in a wimple rather than a poofed-out chilly-cat. Lucky for him that I’m a human space-heater. Waves of warm-scottoness keep him toasty, but he may complain a bit when I get out of bed before he is ready.
Got Liz trained in how to do sex pred alerts, but I’ll be surprised if I see her last into 2006 at the org. Weird vibe at work yesterday, and folks were a bit skittish. VS wasn’t looking that happy, despite the fact that she had the most successful fund raiser for the org *ever* on Friday night.
I dreamt that both of my feet were broken and that they had to be amputated. Let’s not be prophetic on this one, ok? I really don’t want any useful or fun pieces of me cut off, if it can be helped.

7939 – Sunday, Sunday…
Well, moving yesterday just didn’t work out. U haul broke down, late meeting, and Dan wasn’t feeling well. We rescheduled for Friday morning, the day after Thanksgiving.
Today I’m going with Dan, his wife and his parents to his school’s production of Arsenic & Old Lace… I’m really looking forward to it, as I get along very well with his parents. I was going to hit the Miami Book Fair, but the rain is making that a bad idea.
Looks like Gamma’s going to cut sofla some slack! It’ll still be a rainmaker, I think.

I was looking online for some pictures when I came across your blog. My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married next October and we want to have a costume wedding. I’ve decided to go as Poison Ivy (since she is the most beautiful comic character I can think of, and gosh darn it, I want to be beautiful on my wedding day). I put “Poison Ivy and Pictures” into the search engine and came across your page. And I’m glad I did. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see the links you had posted (because my computer is from the iceage). But your cat, Newton, reminds me so much of my cat, Barry Allen. He just passed away last March and looks exactly like yours. I just wanted to let you know that I am glad to see the pictures you posted.
Happy memories are plentiful, but never quite enough.
