Last Summer Day with Danny today.. we’re probably going to do a little play of pirates, hang out and have some supper. He told me yesterday that he hasn’t been on the internet for about a month or more. That’d be like me not *reading* anything for a month or more… unheard of.
Had a lovely time chitty-chattin’ with weez & sedef last night, and I’m delighted that I might get another chance to see ’em sometime soon! Quite a pair of sweeties they are! (Even if they are threatening to get me a bunch of Strawberry shortcake branded stuff!)

2nd Batch of allergy shots, and then platelets. I have to see if I can still donate today after the shot.
Dan goes back to school tomorrow or Friday, for kids begin on Monday. I wonder if we’ll get to goof of any more before he’s back in the grind?

Not nearly enough time with MP yesterday. Had supper with Danny ad Subway, and we gabbed a bit. He brought me a present of The Bard’s Tale, which was a pleasant surprise. I haven’t installed it yet, but it looks like fun. I forgot to get my Tiki Cup.
I told MP that I thought about her snuggled close when I went to sleep at night. She replied playfully “you don’t think about me during the day?” and gave me a triple-threat smooch. (both cheeks, and then on the kisser.) She’s flattered when I wear the cologne she got me. She also told me that she didn’t want me to suffer while she’s gone.. I’ll be pretty cool, I think, as long as she heads back to the states in Sept like she plans. I’ll be fairly peeved if that doesn’t come to pass.
Bro talked to me, and he told me that he hadn’t seen me put on my rage-face on like I did when that whole almost-fight happened en route to the bus station. I haven’t had to manhandle my bro in ages, and I think he was surprised when I kind of pulled him out of the way and intervened between him and the other guy.
There’s a part of me that *really* wanted to commit violence on the BS-guy. Pounding the devil out of him, and taking a few hits would’ve been cleansing. That sort of behavior is wholly inappropriate, but the caveman inside would’ve been happy for a few minutes.
I wouldn’t mind a sparring partner or a good long session smacking the heavy bag.

I’ve got the Nairobi Trio playing Solfeggio in my head over and over. That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
I miss the Ernie Kovacs show.
What the heck… over 800 hits yesterday on the easter manatee entry? What’s causing folks to go back to the end of march back to tag it? it’s not direct picture links.. it’s the entry itself. different locations, assorted browsers… and it’s not from google or yahoo search. no referral links.
Tropical Storms Cindy and Dennis may be on the way? Seedling hurricanes.
I’m not too worried about Cindy….
But Dennis is a distinct possibility. Would I be selfish to hope I could hole up from the storm with MP for the weekend?

VS interrupted my vacation yesterday for about a half hour for input on how to recover a lost document. I missed my bus to my blood appointment, but she was kind enough to haul me over after being a pain in the butt.
The document was never recovered.
Something about the situation that made me think was when I asked her how long would it take her to recreate the doc.. she said she’s just going to do it on Tuesday.
If it could wait, why did she call me on my vacation?
That topic will come up in conversation before morning meeting.
Some chores to do this morning and then I can spend the day with MP. Good incentive to get moving.

The Gizmo that takes white blod cells, and gives me back everything else. The apheresis process takes about 90 minutes. (2 hours if you count sign-in)
Good premiums today.. They bought my lunch, gave me an american Flag beach towel, a T-shirt and a free AMC movie pass.
Not a bad haul for a lazy-man’s charity.

When I got home last night, they were tearing down the little 2-bedroom house in my backyard. That’s a shame… I think that little building had been there since the 1930s or before. Cute little Key West-style place done in white with navy blue trim. I can now look out my bedroom window and see two streets over.
I rather think that I preferred the cozy sense of privacy that I had before, but we’ll see if I change my mind over the next couple of days. I wonder how this’ll effect security and flyby factor for the next major storm?

Newt was watching the earthmover equipment with fascination…I wonder what he thought they were, from his point of view? I suspect he was more interested in the noise that they were making than anything else.
I didn’t even know the guy in the house had moved out. My brother used to hang out with the tenant’s son, a bodybuilder guy that eventually went to jail for some sort of assault / battery charge on a cop.
I have to remember to let GrayPumpkin see this.
