Busy day at work… but nice. No distractions or annoying pests. I’d say I’m 3/4 done with the website…. just a matter of taking a couple of pictures with the digicam, and getting a little copy from sales.

This week is random employee vanishment week… Finn and Santie will be gone until Thursday, the island boy is taking off Friday through the following Wednesday. Sappho and Riker have postponed the Peace River trip until November, though, because the water’s risen recently. I’m still planning on taking Halloween and 11/1 off, just for the halibut.

My brother bawled out some of his friends big time, right before I got home for ditching him at 7-11. he called and left a message apologizing, in case I heard him. Sakes… he must’ve been outraged.

Dick Cheney has a scary face all the time. He needs to learn to smile for the cameras more often.

Dave showed me the Star Wars Gangsta Rap.

I’m sending positive and happy thoughts to my sweetheart tonight and tomorrow. (As always!) I got to talk to her for a while today… she’s being worked pretty hard too. I think that Wednesday will mark a comfort point for her, though, if she can squeak through tomorrow with a minimum of stress or annoyance.

Random Scotto factoid – I have a few free email addresses I never use, except to register my name in drawings or to fight Spam. If you want to send me a letter I may well never see, scotto@evildeadclowns.com is one of them. My yahoo addy is really the only one I check with any regularity.

I never noticed before, but each major chattie has it’s own color. Yellow aim, green icq, blue msn, red yahoo. The new version of trillian has little colored circles rather than logos for each active. Pretty neat to me, for some reason. My connection to all of them comes on like a little drag-racer pole position light up… “Prepare to qualify”.

Jerry Falwell — yes, he’s flapping his yap again — has concluded from “reading Muslim and non-Muslim writers” that Muhammad was a terrorist. Which is kind of interesting, because from reading interviews with Jerry Falwell a lot of people have concluded that Jesus was a redneck, right-wing bigot. Holy men: Great ideas, bad PR representation. Why do the dumbasses seem to often get the loudest voices?

Slow day for the homepage…

Dork alert… Atari Adventure mod for quake. Holy moley, how cool is that?

If you’ve got the bandwidth and QuickTime, watch lots of robots… really lovely. Open it in another window and keep surfing while it loads, if you have to.

Sweet! edbook has put up a portfolio of his work… nice!

Friday the Thirteenth really is no big whoop to me. No worries. Nothing creepy or unexpected has happened yet…the normal aches, pains, smiles and joys that’ve been with me all week are still here.

Of the people at work I thought knew about world affairs, none knew who I was talking about when I referenced Idi Amin(Maybe one of the worst dictators since Hitler), Pol Pot and Papa / Baby Doc… I admit that it sometimes takes me a while to catch up with current events… but these guys are big time evil, and a major element in world history. When folks can kill in the hundreds of thousands or more and not be known…how does that work? Maybe it’s because I watched the news at home during the 70s and 80s, and it was current events? Looks like a job for a poll…

The Finn, Island Boy, Sappho and Kev…None had ever heard of any of ’em, save for Kev recognizing Idi Amin from an old SNL game show skit…but not knowing who he was.

On another note… I want to see the giant land squid and flying killer fish!

Random Scotto factoid – My aliases on trade wars back in the old BBS turn-based online wargames were – Rev Scotto, Tristan Thunyduway, Balder the Brave, and Boog the Ogre.

Sketches from the palm from the last day or two…I left the screen color on, instead of my usual forcing of black and white. Hover over for what was/is on my mind regarding them.

cow... Her name is Bingo, and she's much prettier in real life.Lunch on Wednesday! yum... Mimmo's makes good pizza. The Pod house! This is where pods live.... Newt planted the daisy. :)A loud-as-heck fire engine passed the bus on the way to work yesterday.... after having my ears split, it won WOD.

Well.. voting tomorrow… first time with the touch screen system.

Nifty flash gizmo…Need to draw up a building, quickly, but don’t have a house design/cad/etc. program available?

So far, it just draws walls, windows, and doors, but for a quick building or set of rooms, it isn’t bad at all. You can move any object you create, change their sizes, or drag them off the plan to make them disappear. It has a basic grid, and snap-to functionality, so your walls always line up along the gridlines…plus it prints, does an isometric view, and you can walk through it.

Very basic, yes. Potentially useful, especially if you don’t have layout software with you? Definitely.

http://www.oz.net/~davester/AFOS/Band/mikethen.JPG Hmm… upon this morning’s shave, I was doing a dopey “flock of seagulls” dance in front of the mirror…and I came to realize that after the 80s, the 90s and now must have been a terrible blow to the hair-care industry. Sure, folks still shampoo, dye and such, but all that gel, spray and stuff for both sexes in the hair-band & punk music prime time… demand must’ve plummeted.

Sakes…like in So I Married an Axe Murderer… the hair is “Like Sputnik…spherical, but quite pointy in parts.”

Bush by the Numbers, as Told by a Diligent Scorekeeper Nifty statistics.

I hope an Indian summer isn’t coming. I wonder if it’ll happen. I guess baseball didn’t strike… I find myself not wanting to bother to look up the reasons why or why not…I do have a gut-urge that they had, though.

potty-mouthed art that I approve of
