I dreamt that I was stabbed last night. Repeatedly, in the chest and slashed across the arms. I don’t remember it physically hurting, but I was pretty outraged that it was happening. I started yelling at the faceless person to stop, but they saw fit to continue. Looking down, I realised that there weren’t any wounds and calmed down immediately. I instead asked what the heck they thought they were doing… I got no reply, and I took away the knife. They were sat down like a small child, and I explained to them as simply and carefully as I could that what they were doing was bad and that it would normally hurt very much. I got the impression that they were very, very sorry and that they really had no idea that they were doing something awful.

Launched late for walkies today, but it’s a sleepy morning. I’m looking forward to getting a bike to work out with and maybe ride to and from work on occasion. I think that there’ll be quite a few beach and airport images in the near future. Helicopters were out this morning in a half-dozen candy colors, flying in formation like giant hummingbirds…. hovering and doing a large scale synch’ed ballet of movement. They’re doing work on the “haunted house”… hopefully it’ll still be freaky-creepy looking by the time the camera gets here. If not, there’s lots on los olas that’re imageworthy, along with the mall of the dead, and “count chocula’s house” up the road.

sniffs your system for adware, and also kills vx2 illegal popups.

Ad-aware scans your memory, Registry, and hard drives for software components from Alexa (through 5.0), Aureate (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0), Comet Cursor (through 3.0), Cydoor, Doubleclick, DSSAgent,EzUla, Expedioware, EverAd, Flyswat, Gator, Gratisware, HotBar, OnFlow, TimeSink (through 5.0), Transponder, Web3000, Webhancer, and more. Ad-aware then displays a list of detected spyware modules, Registry keys, files, and folders, and allows you to remove them from your system selectively.

This update supports removal of EzUla, Expedioware, and Transponder modules, and features an “exclude” option to ignore modules you want to keep.

Note: Some advertisement-supported software may not work after the ad-monitoring components have been removed. If you run Ad-aware under Windows NT/2000, you may need to log in with administrator privileges. If you are upgrading from a version prior to 4.0, remove the Ad-aware folder or uninstall it before installing this new version.

Thoughts before bed.

FBI Honolulu’s area of jurisdiction covers the entire Pacific Rim, extending from the Hawaiian Islands, to Mongolia, westward to Afghanistan, and southward to Antarctica.

dang it…my left ear gurgled, and is stopped up again! fark. I’m half-deaf in that ear again. it was a *shoop* and then this. I think I’m going to schedule a checkup. ugh. hop in the shower and try to steam it loose. [update] no dice… I might have some swort of infection. swallowing hard and yawning isn’t doing it, and I refuse to pop my ears.

Nifty linkies o’the day.

If you’re like most people, you often think, “Pumpkins aren’t airborne enough.” If you’re like these guys, you fix that by building trebuchets and other siege engines to get the job done. Then you compound the problem by writing poetry about it.

Mysteries that have baffled mankind for centuries have been solved by lego technology – well, “centuries,” assuming the Mesopotamians had Rubik’s Cubes. JP Brown’s CubeSolver sends the popular ’80s toy home cryin’ to mama. A robot made of lego that can do the cube. That’s the thing dreams are made of. I really admire his source code, too.. very clean, and in visual basic, no less. Color recognition software.. I’ve got some new ideas for newtcam (as of this posting, Newton looks like a vampire ready for the kill) thanks to this. (check out his other lego creations too.)

yay! I ordered my digicam today, it’ll be here in the next 2-3 working days!

got that, a few rechargeable batteries, and a 128 meg flash “film” pack. Soon, walkies and piccies will be more visual. fear not, I’ll put up thumbnails and / or lj-cuts.

I dreamt that I was in an building, working on a new project, sharing an office with a few really nice folks. It was maybe a government place or a warehouse, as the walls were very industrial… long halls with metal doors stretching well off into the distance. The office lighting was nice and natural but once in the hallway the flourescent lights made things seem almost black and white, washed out and melancholy. We were all rolling as a unit, taking lunch at the same time, but returning to the work room was the respite we all wanted… posters on the walls, and real color. I recall that there were lots of fun recreational things to do in there, including the woodcarving element again. I started work on a toy elephant for someone very special to me… selecting paint, wood and sandpaper, pictures and a few strange things that I’m not sure that I’d need, like driftwood, beach glass, light bulbs, canned air… it was some sort of kit that had too many things, but had all the stuff I needed.

Walkies today really sharpened a few dream details in my mind. It was a wonderful feeling…there was a thick fog out, adding to the dreamy feel. So little traffic that it was like I was walking on a movie set, lots of stuff to reflect on. As the yellow face came out, the fog melted quickly and the heat rose rapidly, driving me to speed up a bit my wandering back to a more comfortable climate.

I don’t know why I don’t have MLK day off… I imagine the day will go gently, with only Canadian offices to deal with and the usual hubbub. We’ll see, I’m off to work in a a moment or three.

I was born on a full moon. hm…that explains a lot to me.

I was born on a full moon phase – see? moon

I wonder if being a loonie means I see the delusionals better? I find myself tripping over fools in the most stupid places here. LJ seems to channel the more reality-impaired past my POV… lots of vulgar places here, easy to get your shoes dirty, if you don’t watch where you walk. I’m glad there are more flowers for all the manure. πŸ™‚

Well, I’m turning in after Sealab 2021.

I hope my dreams resume where they left off. Me, the woman I love, and smiling times.

Happiness and Comfort to all of you, as you sleep, and wish me the same.

Thanks to for reminding me of this quote from Judge Dredd –

Robot: β€œEat recycled food, for a happier, healthier life. Be kind and peaceful to each other, eat recycled food. Recycled food – it’s good for the environment, and ok for you.”

Also. Pepperoni is the nipple of the pizza species.

Wacky miss cleo soundboard prank call.

I’ve officially drained the pantry of all green veggies. Tomorrow, before work I must get more, or settle on delivery food and girl scout cookies and starch for supper. *Oh the horror*. I also want some ice cream.

The stoppage in my ear has lessened, but there’s still a hint of it there, just enough to qualify as pesky. I stood on my head, and it helped a bit, but between the blood rushing to my skull and Newton’s subsonic mind-control purrs and at the time upside-down nosie-nuzzles, it was only a partial victory.

My secret volcano base bites the dust… How can I be an evil supervillian if my Volcano Bases keep erupting?

Wow.

Outstanding sleeps last night. Sweet dreams, comfort in my little cocoon, pleasant thoughts. I got some very comfortable time in.

Went for walkies this morning, and it started getting a wee bit hot by the time I headed home. I got a phone call from the brother right as I was coming in (he hung up, but I dialed back… hooray for caller ID!) and we gabbed for a while, made some plans to get together during my vacation next week. As I type this, I’m playing fetch with a “barrel full of monkeys” monkey by throwing it and having Newt retrieve it. Perfect size for him to tote around. I’m going to hop into the shower shortly, and go to market to stock up again. I’m getting really excited about the coming time off… only 5 more working days to go.

I got one of the Christmas presents I sent off back in the mail today. The package looks like it went through the wringer and back…I guess it has been… I sent it overnight on 12/17, and it has little “attempted delivery” stamps on it from 12/19, 12/20, and 1/10. I suppose it’s my fault for not waiving the signature, but I don’t think it’d have fit in the PO box. I’ll just resend it off again when I lob some other goodies North. I’m just happy I wasn’t sending anything perishable. (I’d wager cookies’d have been crushed and stale.) Silly PO.
