My Brother brought over a package for me that he signed for yesterday… It’s invader zim! 32 episodes of tasty, freaky, Zimmy goodness. Thanks dcl! Coolio Labels, too. I look forward to watching them with much pleasure. I’ll get to learn how my DVD drive deals with VCDS.

Newt’s taken to giving me a pre-dawn wakeup call again. I need to find his settings, and adjust him to “one hour after dawn, or so”. At least I’ve found his snooze button… soft fuzzy underbelly.

Fun fact – French are born with tails, which are later removed.

Word of the day – fumbuckery. (I dig spoonerisms.) It describes the functionality of midday meetings.

I want to make homemade ice cream by rolling a bucket back and forth to my sweetie. Strawberry, maybe.

Chuck E. Cheese can cause nostalgia, and nightmares. I tend to side with Mr. Munch.

If you think your pregnancy test should be private, wait until you read this. The new Florida adoption law says that if you don’t know the father of your baby and you want to let someone adopt the baby, you have to list all the possible fathers of your child in the newspaper.

When background searches fail to locate the birth father, the mother must place legal notices about the adoption in a local newspaper where the child was conceived.

In the notice, the mother must list her name, describe herself, name or describe the possible father or fathers and list the date and the city or county of conception.

Not into writing or reading LJ tonight…

Long story short…beautiful night outside… that “promise of rain” smell in the air, cool breezes. I’ve been sitting out front for the last couple of hours in my chair, just reading, and talking to Newt through the window…he seemed happy, as long as I was within view. Read more about the weird, wild west. It’s a nice ‘snippet’ book.. good to fill the space between other readings, and just enjoying the atmosphere outside.

before I go, two pictures from this morning.

fat ol' parrot
I saw a big, fat parrot sitting on a telephone wire… the camera didn’t get a good shot of him or his buddy, so I sketched him.

on the bus was a girl with an unfolded McDonald’s french fry box… she was using it as a sort of mask… the side flaps looked like hammer-head eyes. She was having a grand old time, and made me laugh.

Now, it’s bedtime, and I’ll see you in the morning, dear journal.

G’nite.

good grief! I’m glad I got a fat hd.

Welcome to Earth & Beyond. You’ve been selected out of thousands of applicants to participate in the public test of the first online role-playing galaxy. After a few easy steps, you’ll be in your own starship and adventuring through a living galaxy populated with thousands of players.

First things first – Download the game!

If you have a broadband connection, you can download the code all at once. It should take between one and two hours.

[password stuff]

Again, congratulations on making it through the selection process. Even though

It looks really neat, thus far.

restoring from a note to my sweetie, midday.

From about 1 to 6 today my sense of time had stopped functioning properly.

Minutes seemed like hours. I kept getting a bad case of the nods, blinking off into Russian sleep and then finding myself looking at a clock, only to discover I’d only been out of it for a moment or two.

I drifted back and forth to being able to hardly keep my eyes open… my body was feeling like a limp dishrag… and my mind, (while firing solidly at code) continued to wander or settle places in the darker recesses of my cranium.

I think that they’re all symptoms of being overtired. Upside, I didn’t feel crabby, though I was rather numbskulled for a while…maybe that’s not the right term. My mind was sharp, but scattered. Thought confetti filled a lot of the cracks.

I feel that the bike ride is what really woke me up. I was a member of the walking dead for a while there.

Some dinner will set me back to totally right.

Note to self – Newt will wake me first thing in the morning whether I want it or not. He’s a persistent little bugger…. I played with him while 3/4 asleep this morning, having him hunt my hand under the covers while I pretty much remained in a mostly-sleep state for about fifteen minutes until he decided that he wanted to be chased…. hopping down from the bed, and Mer-ing at the foot until I got up and staggered after him around the house. (he remained underfoot, and playful as I slowly woke, brushed my teeth, and got a drink from the kitchen.) As I type, he’s now on the floor, resting his chin on my right foot.

ugh… I couldn’t watch more than 3 minutes of that Anna Nicole show.

It *was* like watching an accident, but I had to look away. Too much gore.

back, you denizens of deepest dark!

back! you murderous mockeries of mortal men!

what I saw in my head on Friday.

creatures inside

They all live in there. Contrary to what you might think, the skull is more about blissful blank thought than evile. Angry ant is just misunderstood.

Google south florida sun-sentinel zombies land on beach

I’m proud to say that I’m #1 on google for beached zombies.

My apartment is about two blocks on the right and maybe four blocks behind the camera. The pringles potato chip looking on the left is the park where the singing fountain is.
