One nice thing about the new Time Bandits Apple TV series is that the original version isn’t going anywhere. I will reserve final judgment for later, but if I am going by previews and the judgment of people I’ve talked to whom I trust, the new show looks superfluous and weak. My desire to seek it out and watch it once it finishes its run is pretty heavily dampened. II really loved the 1981 film, and I’m really not sure why anyone thought there was a need to retell that particular story again. I would really like to see a remake of a film that *wasn’t* great the first time and made better the second or third time around. Of course, maybe the new version will impress me after all, and I will be really happy if it does. I would be delighted to be pleasantly surprised.
As I was heading home from physical therapy today, I saw an elderly man casting his line into the Roanoke River. I wondered if he caught anything, or even if getting a meal was his goal. He looked like he was having a nice time just having some alone time on the water, even though it started raining shortly before I drove by. Today, I took a dip in the pool, and it was pretty exhausting, but in a good way. Spending time doing what’s needed to improve flexibility and core strength, and ideally reduce pain.
It’s more of a scribble than a doodle, I think. There’s no smoothing and just an undercoat of shading. It’s an orc with an overly bendy poleaxe for a walking stick. I’ve been feeling rough this past week, but I’m hoping tomorrow’s pool PT goes well and that I get some relief from the new TENS box. I had to order some new batteries because the thing came with only about 30 minutes of juice. #doodle #scribble #orc #polearm #axe #hiking #poleaxe https://www.instagram.com/p/C-Jtf-JMV19/?igsh=M2I5aWhoZzd3azQ0
