When You Meet a Member of the Ku Klux Klan

When You Meet a Member of the Ku Klux Klan

Robert L. Poston (1921)

When you meet a member of the Ku Klux Klan,

Walk right up and hit him like a natural man;

Take no thought of babies he may have at home,

Sympathy’s defamed when used upon his dome.

Hit him in the mouth and push his face right in,

Knock him down a flight of stairs and pick him up again.

Get your distance from him and then take a running start,

Hit him, brother, hit him, and please hit the scroundrel hard.

Pour some water on him, bring him back to life once more

Think of how he did your folks in the days of long ago;

Make a prayer to heaven for the strength to do the job,

Kick him in the stomach, he, a low, unworthy snob.

Call your wife and baby out to see you have some fun,

Sic your bulldog on him for to see the rascal run.

Head him off before he gets ten paces from your door,

Take a bat of sturdy oak and knock him down once more.

This time you may leave him where he wallows in the sand,
A spent and humble member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Day 20,997

Little prince visited last night

Brutalist maze , Seattle

The location is called Freeway Park, and while it is one of the most interesting single examples of Brutalism in the United States, it is so poorly designed in terms of public safety that it has been renovated multiple times, but continues to be geographically troubling, as its design has facilitated a lot of murders over the years. It was the subject of a funny but gruesome article in The STranger in 2002 called “Topography of Terror.” The city doesn’t keep an official tally of how many murders or assaults have happened in the park, but two men in their 30s were stabbed nonfatally during a robbery there earlier this year, for example.

Suspect that building mazes is perhaps not conducive to public safety, outside of minotaur isolation scenarios.

Ultrasonic in data mining

This is nothing new, but so many folks dont seem to know anything about it. It isnt hard to disable mic use by apps, and it really helps your phone run better to not have them running in the background, while conserving power and data.

If you have an Alexa or Google device listening all the time, I dont know how to help you, unless it is a version you can set up that only listens when you press an activation button of some sort.
