Had a food stop at Ernie’s… Food arrived fast, and the crew was very friendly. I may’ve found my new lunch hangout – got a fat “cup” (more like bowl) of conch chowder, a big ol’ slice of sweet bimini bread for $3.25, and a delicious honking huge ever-full iced tea for $1.60.
The salads are *gigantic*, too. I wouldn’t be able to finish one… plus, the veggie burger looked really good, too.
I had no room for dessert, though the old standby of Key Lime pie was staring me in the face. Background noise and music was medium-low, loud enough to enjoy the music, not so loud that you couldn’t talk to you lunchmate.
I’ll have to wrangle MP and the rest of the gang to go grab a bite sometime.

7377 – Also, fun icon.
A doctor is being treated for shock after being punched in the face in a morgue by an apparently dead youngster.
The medic noticed a slight movement in the body of Bogdan Georgescu, 16. When he leant over to look, Bogdan hit out.
The lad had been taken to the morgue in Brasov, Romania, after collapsing and showing no signs of life.
He said: “I woke up and had no idea where I was. I looked to the left and right and saw dead women on either side.
“Then I saw a man in a white coat. I panicked. I thought he would kill me.”

When did I stop liking Tracy Ullman? I used to love her TV show, but her current tour of promotions is making me yawn.
Current Music: Old Codger (with R. Stevie Moore) – Hotcakes and Sausage MP3 (source)
Moment of Lyric –
Bake me some hotcakes and sausage
Make ’em nice and brown
Hotcakes and sausage
Flip ’em upside down
I’m so tired of roamin’
Goin’ from town to town
Made up my mind now
I’m gonna settle down

Dang, I got all kinds of lucky this weekend. Sunday, I went back to the club, and won the door prize.. free drink, free shot, free t-shirt, free dinner, free lunch, and assorted other goodies. The first two ticket-holders weren’t there and I’m the third time that makes the charm. Ticket 818040.
No free soda-pop, because Mari was working rather than Susie. Still, 3-for 1 bottled water works well.
I’ve got a tentative date with MP after work next Saturday.
Magda Patricia – Noble one in the high tower (it’s sort of rare to meet a girl who goes by her middle name, but I can understand preferring the moniker Patricia to Magda.)Quick data file – born 8/10, Leo. no ink.
What are the odds I’d trip over the name Magda twice the same weekend?
Also, Newt likes her lipstick. I had a leftover smooch-mark, and he went lick-happy on it.
Mzk got to check LJ briefly, via my palmtop, but some surly customer didn’t like her doing that, so she didn’t get to post.
Gummi Smurfs! – “We also cannot control the firmness of the Smurfs from tub to tub.”
Best sentence I’ve seen in a little while. via
Going with Kev to see Star Wars:ep3 on Friday. Please, oh please, don’t let it suck like ep1 and ep2! Also, Greedo Shot first.
A day in stunt city. – very spiffy commercial. Remember kids, don’t walk through plate glass windows. I dig the helicopter people.
“The Beeb has got free (as in gratis) Dr. Who ebooks, including fresh artwork. The books are in HTML format, and are accompanied by extensive notes by the original authors, so they are useful for both Dr. Who fans and budding Sci-Fi ebook writers alike. Unfortunately, all the books only seem to be available in chapter-size chunks.”
7372 – Olfactory
I smell *really good* right now.
This Fierce stuff is up there with Cool Water as a nice scent for me. A little more citrus than the other.
7370 – Free Snorkel with every visit! (while supplies last)
good day at the club. MP brought me a gift.. she got me an ounce of Abercrombie & Fitch “Fierce”. It smells nice, and I also got some lovely smooches. It’s a pity that she’s going back to Columbia on June 3rd for a few months, but at least we can email back and forth.
Susie’s going to part-time some other club.. or maybe she already works at another one. Either way, she invited me to visit at that one, too. I’ll surely go.. she keeps me in free drinks and is a funny little busybody.
Tipping rockabetty Mzk with a Pabst Blue Ribbon T-shirt from eBay. Remember, the “Billy” in “Rockabilly” stands for “Hillbilly”.
Also at the club, I won a bottle of Panama Jack spiced rum. This its the first time I’ve had alcohol in the apartment for maybe two years. Maybe some Rum & Cokes are scheduled for my 4th of July!
I was out sick for two days, and I missed about 9 episodes of the Rockford Files on WGN! Dang screwed up sleep schedule! Yesterday, I got home about 7 or so, fell asleep, and woke up at 4:30 this morning. I’ve got to get back on track by Monday.
Don Lapre is back, now Selling “The Greatest Vitamin in the World” Dang, how is he allowed to continue to push his stuff?
I remember David Spade making fun of him on SNL ages ago. He’s been scamming folks that want to get rich quick for well over 15 years now! Man, the junk that’s on TV at 5am. He’s still a physical spaz, too.
7368 – Saturday the 14th… where’s Richard Benjamin, these days?
Feeling a lot better today. Not as stuffed up, and throat is clear.
Pretty pleased with the writing group’s first venture.
More Time with Danny in June. Good deal.
Good Heavens… Chocolate Lucky Charms? Count Chocula wasn’t good enough? General Mills cereal with Chocolate, Marshmallows and the occult… all covered!
I live about a 3 minutes away from the James Randi Educational Foundation. Opponent of Pseudoscience, Spoon benders, dowsers, stigmata and other such stuff.
Google Maps spots a bunch of UFOs over South Florida (about 50 miles north of my house, fairly close to tarpo It’s a freaking Newfoundland Destructor Fleet… I just know it.) A Closer collection of the West Palm Beach UFOs., all on the same map (and the points connected)
Kev’s pooch Rippy-doodle passed away, and they got a new Golden Puppy Named Viggo. So they’re still at the balance of 3 kitties and 3 pooches.
Karen is engaged and will be moving out in 2 months. I’m impressed. I figured Kev would share his house with her until he turned 40. He came in under the mark by 2 years. I’m happy for both of ’em!
myid8myego pointed me at Thomas Szasz recently. Interesting viewpoints regarding mental illness. see the link for more detail. I’m pretty liberal, but hardly libertarian.

I don’t totally agree with the points made, but it is interesting reading. The issue of semantics is a big one, and I’ll certainly grant that.
Ex-bosses wife has a $264,716.86 lien on their stuff for tax evasion.
Ex-boss himself has a $568,823.82 lien from the same sort of evasion.

I hope that they didn’t blow all the money they were skimming on pizza, hookers and beer.
Random Scotto Factoid: When I was in elementary school, I had the most problems with learning my 8 times tables and 13 times tables. (we had to memorize up to the 15s. Later, I remember my brother only having to learn up to the 12s.) I wonder if kids today only have to learn up to the tens?
I don’t know why the 8s gave me so much trouble, especially 8×8. Dad taught me how to count in octal, and it helped a bit, but it was a sticking point.
Random Scotto Factoid part two – I have Hobbit feet. Hair on the first knuckle-joint of every toe and a patch of hair on top of the foot itself. The soles aren’t as tough as they were when I work my birks all the time, now.
I could never commit a crime in this age of “CSI” and super forensics. I shed everywhere I go.
Moment of Lyric: (mp3)
I’m going deaf, you’re growing melancholy
Things fall apart, I don’t know why we bother at all
But life is good and “It’s always worth living at least for a while”If I could do just one near perfect thing I’d be happy
They’d write it on my grave, or when they scattered my ashes
On second thoughts I’d rather hang about and be there with my best friend
If she wants me

Got called yesterday, and every one after the first found me sleeping. A peeve, but at least I’m in demand, eh? 5 times from work, 2 times by bro. (Who lost his phone again, it seems. I suspect he’s selling them or something at this rate.)
Sure… why acknowledge information from the CIA/ FBI/ etc if you can just make up your own facts?
