Random Scotto factoid – I have experienced a variation this trap in real life. Upside, the inner spikes were just broken tile, so they were easily moved away from my leg. Downside, my leg went in all the way to my hip, and I was barefoot at the time. If I didn’t have a walking stick nearby to push off from. I would have been caught really well.
