9332 – Monday

Good solid day of work today – getting a lot done and covered. Met the new VP, and he seems like a really nice guy who knows his stuff. I wish I could advise him more on commuting, but he’s a car guy, and not a train or bus sort.

After work, BHK and I went out to lemongrass for a little date – the food was excellent and the company wonderful. It was raining like gangbusters outside, so we stayed for dessert… the Thai doughnuts and fried ice cream were also great, but I tihnk I ate way too much. After the weather let up a bit, we went to petsmart to look at the critters, and saw an army gal with a haircut that made her look a bit like donald duck.

Went home, watched the pilot of middleman. I liked it – it was a little sticky, but forgivable in a pilot episode… There was a super-intelligent gorilla in a tracksuit, which was pretty cool, but I’d prefer that they not mention comics so much. I didn’t need a Grodd reference. He was more like the Mod Gorilla boss to me, anyhow. The “filthy paws / damn dirty ape” quote was expected, but really, that’s forgivable. I’ll be watching it again, and expect it’ll gain some momentum if all goes well.

In honor of Swarm of the Snakehead, I made my own proto – snakehead beastie (you can download him at the link) in Spore yesterday. BHK’s bitey monopod will be uploaded soon, too.

George Carlin passed away. I think that his routines in recent years got a little… I don’t know… Lame? Turned more from radical or wacky to just whiney “get off my lawn you kids” humor? I feel the same way about him the way I feel about a lot of folks I liked more when I was younger – maybe I outgrew him, like I did Harlan Ellison’s angry young guy shtick as it turned into an angry old guy bit. As I age, it gets harder to be entertained by that sort of thing. Maybe they both just ran out of whatever mojo kept them fresh and interesting to me. I still like the old stuff. Not as angry, not as bitter… things can have bite and not seem just sad. He was a great satirist during the bulk of his life, and I’m sure he will be missed.

I saw him in “concert”, at FAU, ages ago with Jeremy Dawsey. I don’t remember where James was, or why he wasn’t along. We had a *fantastic* time, and it was likely the only time I’ve seen a comedian in the last 20 years that wasn’t “schticky”… fat guy telling fat jokes, lesbian telling lesbian jokes, black guy doing black jokes, prop comics… etc, etc, etc.

I’ll just choose to remember this:

Some people say the glass is half empty.
Others say the glass if half full.
I say the glass is too big.

–George Carlin

LOS ANGELES — Hollywood will enshrine an eclectic bunch in its famous curbside Walk of Fame next year, including Hugh Jackman, Ben Kingsley, The Village People and fictional Tinker Bell.

Recipients of the sidewalk stars also include Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Cameron Diaz, Robert Downey Jr., Tim Burton, Leslie Caron, Charles Durning, Ralph Fiennes, William Petersen, Kyra Sedgwick, John Stamos, Mark Burnett, Chuck Lorre, Kenny “Baby Face” Edmonds, Dave Koz, The Miracles, Doug Morris, Rush, Shakira, KFI radio personality Bill Handel and KCRW host Harry Shearer, who also provides voices for characters on “The Simpsons.”

Cheeta isn’t on the list. The animal actor, whose credits include the 1967 comedy “Doctor Dolittle” and the “Tarzan” movies, was trying for the seventh time to get a sidewalk star.

His handlers had launched an online petition to get supporters to urge the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to give him a star in 2009.

Guinness World Records has called the 76-year-old chimp the oldest living, non-human primate. Cheeta is retired and lives in Palm Springs.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Committee chose the recipients, who were ratified by the board of directors Thursday.

Seriously? Tinkerbell got a star, instead of Cheeta? She didn’t speak, and has only starred in one film! Cheeta’s an actual being, not just a drawing. What’s next? The NBC Peacock?

9324 – Wednesday

Watched the quiz boy episode of Venture brothers last night… mostly character filler and “spot the reference”. This season hasn’t been as good as last, so far – I hope it catches speed soon. Speaking of TV – I haven’t viewed middleman yet, but I keep hearing good things. It should be on our tivo – need to check and see if it was snagged.

I’ve been at my gig for a year today – hard to believe. In some ways it seems like I’ve been there a lot longer… in others, only a few months.

Looks like DV has moved on from my old gig as head of MIS at ACIM … and Tiff is gone, too. They just can’t hang on to folks there. I noticed that Obama earmarked $300k from his state to support the ACIM service – I wonder how much of that actually went to help Illinois?

Nice light dinner of sammiches over some silly reality TV. BHK was disappointed when the guy on Farmer takes a wife snuffed out the one she (and I) thought would take it. I still think the whole thing is more scripted than ugly betty, but I’m a reality show cynic.

Writer’s Block: Lame jobs (9358-predated)

I’ve had a lot of jobs that had rough aspects to ’em.

Hardest physical work – Roofing. Back-breaking gig of spreading sticky tar with a mop over a flat, reflective roof in Florida’s summer sun was probably the most difficult physical labor in my life. I surely couldn’t do it these days. Additionally, half of the crew I worked with was drunk, half were surly and half didn’t speak English to me. (those halves were not exclusive of one another, math nerds.). Who the heck drinks alcohol all day in the sun? Why be mean to people that are trying to get by? I can understand not speaking the language – but working with someone that doesn’t have a common tongue can be a challenge for me – I like conversation, at least every here and there.

But… I don’t think that was my worst job.

I’ve had a couple of jobs where my boss was abusive. The chief of one marketing company I worked at had some very serious mental problems. Off the top of my head, he – threw a mug at the head of his pregnant daughter-in-law, bullied his employees – including, but not limited to: yelling at the top of his lungs / threats of physical violence / calling the sheriff on folks that he hired as cheap labor – who were illegal aliens. (that’s how he got out of paying them any benefits).

That said, before I left that workplace – it was comical to see people stand up to him. He was such a classic and stereotypical bully that he didn’t know how to react when someone didn’t react in a cowed fashion.

He called a dock worker out to fight, and the dock worker agreed… asked him to step outside. Bad boss responded by calling the police, claiming that the dock worker threatened him. When the big boss asked for witnesses, the entire staff refused to bear witness for him – told the truth, in that he’d called the guy out. The cops still escorted the worker off the property, but it made the big boss look like a complete feeb – and it crushed his bully-boy spirit for a few days.

Later on, he was tried, and for the most part, found guilty for all sorts of charges hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of dollars, maybe into the millions owed to clients, employees and the irs – for details there’s good ol’ public records

for both palm beach county see here – (see especially tax evasion) – and broward county (contract indebtedness for the most part.)

The thing was.. if you removed that crooked and cruel boss-guy from the equation, it was a really good gig. My immediate leader was a good friend, and despite his being the nephew of the owner, was about as good a head honcho as I’ve ever seen. Strong work ethic, good with people, and able to take care of business. He’s now working in Guantanamo Bay… and I suspect that he’s a heck of a lot happier!

Either way, I have long since moved to greener pastures, and I know I’m better off as a result.

9280 – friday

Netforum meeting all day today. Networking, educational, etc. After a little issue that challenged my urban orienteering skills, I made it with plenty of time to spare. The place was bunker-like, no cell phone or wifi card use could escape the clutches of the building.

Learned a few little details about magnetmail, a lot of good Sharepoint / WSS & MSS stuff, met a lot of excellent contacts, and drank a lot of diet coke.

Notes for next time – don’t bother to wear a tie, bring a laptop for in person review of what’s on the screen during demos.

After work, we hit Iron Man, and it was enjoyable – probably a solid 8/8.5 out of 10 for superhero flicks. BHK liked it, even though she prefers supernatural stuff to gearhead superheroics.

9278 – Wednesday – the letter o appears in this entry.

Everyone on the bus was wearing blue this morning. No reds, golds or oranges… blue, with black or white, in varying shades.

Except me. I had a pair of tan/brown pants, brown shoes, white shirt with a smattering of black, gray, and reddish brown stripes.

Half of me wondered if I got on the right vehicle; the other half wondered why I didn’t get the memo.

I don’t mind – I come home to a colorful crew with BHK at the helm.

It seems that Pye prefers Newtcam, and newt prefers to be on Pyecam. (Newt likes the little window ledge upstairs…Pye likes the bed upstairs. They both seem to duel over the office and living room windows.

Off to Arlington, VA (right near Ballston) for a NetForum Users Group meeting on Friday – pretty much all day long. I wonder if there’s anything BHK and I would like to do in that environment, after the meeting is over? I figure I’ll head home, unless we need to stop off at the Pentagon for something – which I doubt.

This weekend plans include (in varying degrees of probability, but all of them nifty):

Aardvark
Em’s ballet recital
Artomatic

Those that aren’t hit this weekend, will be hit in the future, to be sure.

The Comic Book Script Archive … interesting list of scripts from a ton of authors… From the Moore’s intro to the Killing Joke script: ‘I want you to feel as comfortable and unrestricted as possible during the several months of your bitterly brief mortal lifespan that you’ll spend working on this job, so just lay back and mellow out. Take your shoes and socks off. Fiddle around in between your toes. Nobody cares.’

9270 – tuesday OH YEAH!

Spent most of the day shuttling around, getting things in order, both at work and off-site. BHK and I made it home about 7:30, after supper at Ledo’s at about 6. – I ended up famished right around 9pm.. .I guess the small veggie calzone didn’t want to stick with me…. especially since I pretty much had been sans food all day.

Oh Yeah!

Thank you, cardboard graffiti artist, for making tuesday extra fun!

The thought was to go to the movies after my midday stuff, but neither BHK nor myself were really up to it – sort of fragged out and just wanted to get home.

Movies:

Despite all the reviews to the contrary, I suspect that I’ll like Hancock more than Iron Man. More than either of those, I want to see Wall-E.

Indy 4 I don’t have high hopes for, but I’m certainly going to see it if possible. I just want it to be better than National Treasure 2.

We still have netflix copies of Cloverfield and No Country for Old Men – Maybe next weekend for those.

Guys like this, *and* the people he sat in front of are two reasons I don’t like going to movies on opening night. If you don’t like what’s going on, either tell the manager, or leave. Those kids had witnesses and there are cameras in most theaters… his behavior was good at least for an assault charge, maybe battery too. (I’ll leave that to my wife’s legal knowledge.) Add to that that he’s far from a minor, and they were… way to lead by example.

Jailbreak 0.4 is out.. looking pretty sharp! I’ll get to it after I finish the Orange Box and Bioshock. (got ’em both for xmas, but I’m having too much fun doing other stuff to goof single player on the ‘pooter these days!

It’s Earth Day! I didn’t do much special to reduce my footprint… but I did eat leftovers (stuffed cabbage – nom ) cooked in an energy efficient microwave for lunch, took mass transit to and from work, and kept the lights in my office dimmed since I get plenty of lovely sunlight during the day. BHK made me a lovely big salad… next one might be from our own garden!

Brief entry yesterday – Chris Picked me up directly from work – no time spent writing on the way home.

Went to bed at a reasonable hour last night, but I’m very worn out today – I need some positive juice to get the blood pumping… or hit the sack early tonight.

I wonder if my back would feel better or worse in the event that I grow a prehensile monkey-tail? Maybe find other methods of lower back support?

In this video, a camera crew follows a city official to a trapdoor hidden in a Tokyo sidewalk, which opens to a narrow stairway leading to a giant underground warehouse stocked with emergency supplies.

Located 20 meters (65 ft) underground, the 1,480 square meter (16,000 sq ft) space contains emergency supplies to be distributed to the public in the event of a major earthquake. Items include 5,000 blankets, 8,000 rugs, 4,000 candles, 300 cooking pots, 200 t-shirts, and emergency medical supplies. A conveyor belt system is installed to help transport the supplies up to street level.

The underground warehouse is connected to an unnamed station on the Oedo line, Tokyo’s deepest subway. Apparently, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government maintains more than one of these warehouses, but the locations are kept secret.

I’m sorry, but naming a restaurant “Brown and Green” just makes me laugh and laugh and not think of anything I want to consume, despite my fondness for those two colors.

I do think that the Twins seem the most likely to win (and should do so, even if BHK prefers Lloyd and Adawa), but my gut is telling me that TM’s ex-Doug -looking guy and his wife are going to win. How bad is that? I can’t even remember their names… the bald jerky and his wife. I guess I shouldn’t feel too bad… I can’t think of the names of the twins now, either. Those guys argue too much for me, and don’t seem to have a sense of pleasure doing ther job they’re given. Even the not so bright couple seemed to be looking to have a good time of it – and they were told not to go into the business at all.

“I hope that we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.”

9235 – Friday!

Ah, the end of another week… I’m looking forward to a gentle weekend, this go ’round. Sleepy This morning.

Recent doodles –

Me in the office, post saying Shazam! Regarding Uncle Dudley/Uncle Marvel. During the classic era, an old man named Dudley (who was clearly modeled after W. C. Fields) claimed that he was not only a relative of the Marvels but also a Marvel himself, although neither was true. The Marvels took a liking to him and decided to humor him, and “Uncle” Dudley became Uncle Marvel, the Marvel Family’s manager. He’d make his “transformation” along with one or more of the others, but not by magic; rather, by quickly removing his break-away garments (under the cover of lightning that the real Marvel(s) called down) to reveal his homemade Marvel costume underneath. He explained his lack of super-powers by claiming he suffered from “shazambago”. In modern continuity, Dudley H. Dudley is simply a janitor at Billy’s school who finds himself involved in Marvel Family adventures, although in one story he was temporarily given Shazam powers to help round up the escaped Seven Deadly Enemies of Man.

Oh, my Shazambago!

Green monkey-alien in a bubble. He’s wearing his bubble summoning-belt, of course. He’s been climbing a lot, note his filthy hands and feet. I wouldn’t go so far as to call him a damn, dirty ape, however. I was thinking a little bit of Rescue on Fractalus recently, thus the cheesy lines and markings. The hammerhead alien Jaggi had great pop-up spook value in his day. Soft hearted for Planet of the Apes, Martian Manhunter, and Bubble-force fields all unwrapped into that, I guess.

Dealing with “customer service” regarding bugs, bug fixes, and time lines. I seemed to get only one word answers, with no detail as to where, when or how items would be fixed. I ultimately got it worked out, via my own trouble tree and specific questions, but it was like pulling teeth… on a rampaging hippo. I’m just glad that it’s now mostly functioning.

Dreamt of our bathroom being tiled with Hershey bars, and grouted with marshmallow. Hershey bars aren’t my absolute fave… why not milky ways, or mars bars? I guess the flat rectangle looks more like tile to my sleeping mind. Last night after work Chris, BHK and I went to Maerten’s, to check out the sale preview. Chris bought a ton of nice stuff… BHK got a cute pair of sterling bumblebee earrings and a little silver bean / bead on a box chain. Honestly, I like what BHK got more, though Chris’s items were pretty, too. Post sale, we hit Thai Inter for some yummy feed. It was a bit of a hike to return home late afterwards, but I think it was worth it – the gals had fun.

I can’t say as I’ve ever referred to anything as “a real corker.” I’d think that I might’ve, but probably not. I prefer “it’s a hoot!” or the like.

Pleased that we did get the 2007 homestead exemption after all, but looks like 2008 is a no-go. at least we have time to save up a wee bit before 4/15/2009.

Something to make BHK happy –

“The Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday its Pixar animation studio will commit to 3-D by releasing all of its movies in the format beginning with “Up” in May 2009. Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter made the announcement in New York at a presentation of Disney’s upcoming lineup of animated movies.”

The Wall Street Journal says that a video production company that earned 90% of its revenue from taping Walmart’s internal meetings over the past 30 years has lost the Walmart account—but retained the rights to the video library.

Now the videos are available to anyone who wants to see them —for a price. Lawyers, reporters, activists and journalists are lining up at the production company’s tiny new office, cash in hand.

Especially telling is this line –

On four recorded occasions in the last 50 years, chimpanzees have abducted, killed and eaten human babies. 9183 – Tuesday, we march forth!

Recently bumped (virtually, via facebook) into Ellen from my days at the library – She and Teresa are the only remaining members of the old guard that I remember. I know what happened to Brent, but I wonder where Bill, Charlotte, Joy, Joyce, Jane and the gang are now… heck, I’d even be curious to know what Farace was up to these days.

Gary Gygax, R.I.P. – thanks for getting the ball rolling on the hobby.

My first thought is of him on Futurama…. “Greetings! It’s a (rolls 20-sided die… pause) pleasure to meet you!” and signing his EGG initials into one of the crashed vegepygmy spaceship levels from Expedition to the Barrier peaks.

Oddly enough, the Library above is where I first met most of my fellow D&D players as a community – before that, Kevin Cummins and I sort of played the blue paperback version at Unity School… (7th grade)

To counter the bad news with awesomeness, Mountain Wingsuit! Wile E. Coyote meets a Flying Squirrel outfit that seems to work. Holy Moley.

I blame BHK for the Avril Levine song going through my head. “Hey Hey, You You, I don’t like your girlfriend”. AIEEGHaba! I fear I may have to consult the big book of earworms to counter this. I forgot that she wanted to buy Pye a bunny-head hat for easter. Ol’ Pye dodged a bullet on that one, but can BHK resist the allure of kitty wigs ?

50 things I’ve done, continued from yesterday. 11-20.

11.’worked as a roofer in South Florida, in August – probably the most physically demanding job I’ve ever done, or ever will. Tar, mops, gravel, sun, drunken coworkers = some sort of Zenny Hell. I liked it for a while, and then pretty much burned out on it. Fortunately, I got an indoor, air-conditioned gig surrounded by books shortly after.

12.’Used to play in the band in jr. high and high school. Baritone / Sousaphone / Tuba were the primaries, though Alto Sax was there for a short period. I’m very slowly but surely picking up the electric bass, and look forward to getting into the stand-up bass, and going from there to a 6-string. I can read music, and should brush up on my recorder skills, too… a lot more portable than the guitar. Maybe the Ukulele will be a happy medium.

13.’Once scarred my leg as a result of swinging a trash bag in a circle while singing the theme song to the Godzilla cartoon. There was a glass bottle in the trash, and it smacked the ground, shattering as I swing it… it swooped back around and gouged a healthy gash in my shin.

14.’was wrestling with my younger brother after shooting at squirrels with bb guns, and rolled with him off of the roof our house in Boynton. I’m more ashamed of shooting at the squirrels than I am of flinging myself and him bodily into the void, only to come crashing down.

15.’has written and submitted (without an agent) 15 stories of varying lengths to assorted magazines and book companies. I fear that many are doomed to the slush pile forever…. despite this, I have been published in a few different paper-based publications thanks to my livejournal (popular science) and unknown armies 2nd edition,(for flavor text). I keep saying that I want to sit down and get back into actually writing some more, but finding that hour a day just isn’t there…. it’s much simpler to babble in a journal entry while on the bus than it is to write solid text, even if it’s just foolish fluff stuff.

16.’was once so soundly asleep that my charges couldn’t wake me up once the parents got home….I was out cold until daylight the next day. I still don’t know why they didn’t call my parents, but instead chose to have me just sleep over. If you couldn’t wake me up, I’d say call a doctor. I never sat for Abra and Tracy again. I was 13 or so.

17.’has seen a UFO, in the truest sense of the word… Just some unknown item flying overhead. I doubt seriously that it was anything extra-terrestrial. A red, slow-moving, cigar shaped cloud, sundog or balloon, maybe.

18.’lived on dry cap’n crunch and water for 3-4 days after Hurricane Wilma… Newton had more palatable food than me! No power for A/c, fridge or light for more than a few days.

19.’called the cops on a guy who was getting beaten up by two other fellows – turned out he was a drug dealer who burned them on a transaction. None of them were arrested. See Frankie the Mooch for a timeline of my encounters with him.

20.’was evacuated by a SWAT team with Newton from apartment, because landlord was despondent over the loss of his nose… was threatening gunfire to himself and others.

I’m beginning to wonder if I can make it to 50 items.

Started the week by taking a new route to work! Get an extra 10 minutes or so to sleep in, Fewer road hazards and a shorter trip home! Seems like a winner, so far.

Rice and Beans combined with the last of our yummy thai/curry soup. I swear that BHK is an amazing chef. I suspect that if she went back into the restaurant field that she’d have quite a following.

We watched Curse of the Golden Flower last night… it seemed to continue forever, and didn’t grab me at all. I think that I was expecting Hero or House of Flying Daggers, and it just wasn’t that sort of flick. The sets and visuals were nice, but it just didn’t elicit any strong feelings or thought processes from me.

More pictures from our sushi night on Sunday, and another picture of the “Prisoner Inn” – Flickr uploader has been very flukey lately. It cuts off uploads midstream and drops items from the queue… I may just go with the web interface from now on.

Last weekend, I couldn’t sleep at one point.. played a little Tf2, loaded the 2nd life update, but didn’t log on, and got to the last level (haven’t completed it) of Portal. So far portal-wise, I’ve gotten 4 accomplishments – not bad, given that I play about 20 minutes or so at a time, and half of that is spent just piddling around the environment.

via duchess_webb – I like these, and tend to do ’em when I spot ’em.

Leave a comment and ask, and I will –

1. Tell you why I friended you or at least try to.
2. Associate you with something – a song, a color, a photo, a word, etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I’ve always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LiveJournal. (No stress about it from me – but I’d like to see it continue!)

That $1,500 Prada bag may have been stitched by an illegal Chinese immigrant working in a Tuscan sweatshop.

Steve Warshak, the snake oil salesman responsible for Enzyte (and consequently for those “Smiling Bob” ads) was found guilty today of conspiracy to commit mail fraud, bank fraud, and money laundering. So was his mom.

Items recently eaten that may have negative / naughty-juvenile connotations, slang-wise.

Big ‘Mo – That had a much different connotation when I was in high school. I’d love to see a nascar kid wearing a BIG ‘MO cap…. not sure I could keep a straight face.

Screamin’ dill Pickle Pringles – Funny, yet, it’s about as extreme as tap water… or we just got the most feebly seasoned stack, ever. (Impulse’s comment about it being slang for gonorrhea is better than any gag that comes immediately to my mind.)

Hostess Cherry Pie – Cripes… look at the food values. memo to self, just eat a box o’ fat and salt. 11 points???

Not to be outdone, BHK recently had a “Jack Pack” of Beef Stick, cheese stick and pretzel stick.

Yikes.

9067 – Friday

Well, we got plenty of ice… about a quarter-inch on the porch alone, to say nothing of the roads. Forget the salt and sand… send out a fleet of zambonis! Is the plural of zamboni zambonies? Zambonii?

Worked form home today, though there were moments of spotty internet access. I suspect that I got more accomplished at the house, given the lack of sidebar interruptions.

Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under an UNSCHEDULED LEAVE policy.

This Means . . .

  • Employees who cannot report for work may request unscheduled leave for their entire scheduled workday. Employees must notify their supervisors of their intent to take unscheduled leave.
  • Emergency employees are expected to report for work on time.

After work was over, BHK made some yummy thai-style spicy/ sour soup – even more awesome than the stuffed peppers made earlier this week.

Larry’s wonder-truck braved the ice and made it over to repair our kitchen light fixture and reap the rewards of Tivo by watching the train crash top gear!

Cool pictures of inside-out stuffed animals.

Something good from W. Bush – on Friday, February 15, 2008, the President signed into law:

H.R. 3541, the “Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007,” which prohibits the automatic removal of telephone numbers registered on the Federal “do-not-call” registry; and

S. 781, the “Do-Not-Call Registry Fee Extension Act of 2007,” which extends permanently the authority of the Federal Trade Commission to charge fees to telemarketers required to access the Federal “do-not-call” registry and specifies the fees to be charged.

Both measures passed the House on a voice vote and cleared the Senate by unanimous consent.

9049 – monday the 4th

Back to work, back to work. Hacked my lung like a fool at work today – that’ll teach me to not bring the ol’ inhaler along. It was pretty bad mid to end-day… I’m surprised nobody came around to put me out of my misery with a shovel or something.

The ride home on the subway wasn’t too bad… did a lot of people take today off, to recover form the Superbowl?

Speaking of which – It looked like Jordin Sparks was lip-syncing at the Superbowl yesterday, but it could just be a delay between the audio and video but it had a prerecorded feel – she wasn’t selling it… I wonder why more people haven’t commented on that, and the weird stock-footage air show? Tom Petty did a good job, and everything lined up audio and video-wise. I wasn’t crazy about fake fans rushing his stage… he really is turning into an old mountaineer, facially.

Dinner was eggplant lasagna… BHK made a tasty meal, despite being all sick… We’re tucking into bed shortly to rest up.

The birthday cake is even better left over… sort of like a hostess cupcake with the white whipped icing as filling.

Random Thought… What is the difference between a black diamond and a lump of everyday carbon?
