Day 20,500 b –

Midday walkies were nice today. Creaky parts were less creaky, but coughing parts were more coughy – Spring is in the air, and so is pollen.

I am glad that I didn’t feel as much of a need for an oil can, and a little light rain should get the particles out of the air soon enough.

Hints of spring today. The sun is warm but the wind is cold! Pears and redbud are going strong, as are daffodils and forsythia. My own coat is transitioning from woody vines to a more leafy coverage,  and I expect a bloom or two there any day now.

Nearly 50% of staff at the US Department of Education was fired last week, with more than 1,300 employees given termination notices and nearly 600 workers taking voluntary resignation offers. Offices covering research, data and statistics were decimated.

Spring is coming more assuredly now, and I am feeling the effects of both pollen and pear trees showing color.

Warm temps aren’t really my jam, but I am looking forward to doing more walks by the river as my strength and tolerance grow.
