Just don’t hit random.

Surfing for no good reason other to procrastinate. after reading 5 random journals in a row, I shake my head, and crack open the message sealed in a light ceramic coating that has ejected from the spy slot of my machine.

l uhdoob hqmrb fubswrjudskb… hyhq wkh vlpsoh vwxii!

I gaze at it for a moment, and nod my head in agreement.

The decoder ring was right… I only have one choice. The laptop case folds open and the hairs on my arm stand on end as the pulse laser starts to prime. There’s a blinding flash of light, a sharp crack of rended air… and the mean folks, their journals, and a good chunk of the posts they make are reduced to the faint smell of ozone and a few swirling wisps of smoke. Gone are the trolls, the ignorant posters, and those that write things to deliberately hurt or insult others, sent to a better place, left to (in the vernacular of Mr. T) jibba jabba amongst themselves, and allow me to read something I’d enjoy reading instead.

Or at least that’s what would happen if the world were the way it should be.

Agent Scottobear, Out. I will return in the morning. Don’t make me have to call in an airstrike.

Thank you, my friends for being of entertaining, informative, and kind demeanor. So many rare jewels out there… I appreciate you all the more when I trip over journals about being racist, terribly cruel, or just plain dumb.

*big hugs to you folks*

Rule of thumb. Forget the random feature, and browse the friend’s lists of your friends. Odds are better that you’ll find something to your liking. Even better than interests lists, I think.

okie… I can delay no longer. If I want to see her tonight, I must do the wash now.

It’s Launderin’ Time!

p.s. Soylent Green Tea Ice Cream is one of the best flavors at the best ice cream store in Miami, The Frieze. (And, no, it dosn’t taste like chicken)

Back from my movie-time with brother… I was treated this time around ๐Ÿ™‚ We saw kiss of the dragon…a fine chop-socky jet li movie.

Our time together was short today, and we didn’t get much talking in… but we had a good day, I have a bus adventure written up on my laptop, which I will synch into my journal the next time I bring lappie online.

Bonus- big brain is working quite well, since I pulled his extra ram… sadly, he only has 128 meg in there now… I look forward to bringing him up to 2 gig. (I’m a ram piggy… I admit it.)

Anyhoo, I’m going to make a little bite to eat, and shower… then gather all washable laundry stuff. I don’t want to do it, but I must. (I’m hoping my sweetie will stroll by, and distract me a bit… I’m thinking about her. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Note to self – Get Newton more magic middles! we have 4 left!

Ok, procrastinate until 5, then off tho the ‘mat, until 7…hopefully, to see my sweetpea thenish. ๐Ÿ™‚

Got to the bus in record time. Just got to the library, made it with nearly an hour to spare. Interesting crowd gathers at la bibliotecha before opening at noonโ€ฆ about ten people, (not counting myself) lurking in these parts. Here I sit, at the front door of the library, Indian-style, an impending fight looking like its about to break out, a big guy (black) just went over to another big guy (white) and said “Listen, I don’t want to have to deal with you todayโ€ฆ I’m warning you now. In reply, the other fellow said “oh come on.” But the whole exchange wasn’t jovial at all.

Whoops, there’s Derek. We’re going to see Kiss of the Dragon. see you kids later.

appended later, from laptop.

Morning… I woke up about 2 hours ago… the sleep was a dark, thick, and solid one. I don’t remember my dreams, but I was jarred out of my slumber by a telemarketing call…

I have but one chore to do today, but I won’t do it until late tonight, or before work tomorrow… accursed laundry. I can’t budget those 2 hours in anytime sooner. This morning, I’m expecting a call shortly from my brother, to find out what we’ll be doing for midday today…I’m expecting lunch, a few hours of goofing around, and some nice conversation. The usual outing with bro. Heard from him, and I’m taking the bus down to him… we’ll catch a movie. ๐Ÿ™‚

Meanwhile, I’m watching Samurai Jack… not bad, thus far, although he looks oddly like the powerpuff girl’s professor.

Hopefully, I’ll see my sweetheart before I launch for the day.. if not, I trust that we’ll reconnect after I return. Heading out now…My thoughts, heart and love goes to her, as always. I’ll see my darling when I return.

word of the day – cavort

cavort kuh-VORT, intransitive verb:
1. To bound or prance about.
2. To have lively or boisterous fun; to behave in a high-spirited, festive manner.

Cavort is perhaps an alteration of curvet, “a light leap by a horse” (with the back arched or curved), from Italian corvetta, “a little curve,” from Middle French courbette, from courber, “to curve,” from Latin curvare, “to bend, to curve,” from curvus, “curved, bent.”

Cable guy will be here between 11 and 4 today. So I’m going to hop in the shower, and then move the tube nearer to the outlet. I slept like the dead last night… once I move the TV, I’ll finish transcribing.

I have an odd feeling this morning…cant put my finger on it. Tense? Not really. I’ll figure it out, or it’ll fly away n the shower.

Taking a breather from writing.
