Rainy day this morning – took the raincoat rather than the overcoat. Slipped a bit in the mud at the station – kept balance, but my shoes and my back are paying the price.
Saw the "Truth Truck " at L’enfant Plaza (note – link can be easily considered offensive)
Reading the first book from the Nightside series BHK found for me off of bookmooch – . Fantasy Noir stuff… first 30 pages are entertaining so far. I got the fourth book at a B.I.G. booksale about a year ago, and hadn’t opened it yet.
Need to play munchkin, or one of our other games – nice to have a no tv night.
Feeling pretty sore – hitting the sack early. g’nite, dear journal.

Pleasant news of the day found my cousin Inger on facebook… amazing – last time I saw her, she was something like 7 years old – now she’s a college sophomore! I’m looking forward to reconnecting, and hearing what that neck of the family has been up to in the midwest.
Additionally, we bought $4 worth of scratchers after work – we won $7… $3 profit! We promptly squandered our earnings on diet soda and corn chips.. with a few pennies to spare!
Some issues happening at the Condo in Florida – we may lost our renters over it – I hope not, but we’ll see what goes down.
No news about Bro – he should be out of the pokey in about a month, Shannon and the Baby lately – I hope bro is ok – If the renters move out, I’m happy to give him the furniture at the condo to get started off again (a bed, dresser, futon, dining room table, some chairs, box o’ drawers w/ dishes & utensils, tv and tv stand.
BHK made taster veggie-brats & kraut for supper – I’m full as a tick.
Hitting the sack early – no tv tonight, maybe just a little book time before bed.

We woke early this morning – exchanged easter baskets! BHK loaded me up with jellybeans, gummi lobsters and chocolate covered potato chips, while I got her peanut butter eggs, tie-dye plastic eggs, lip balm and ceramic bowls. 🙂
Kitties were happy to play with catnip from the garden – growing well already.
BHK gave Mr. Woods an assortment of flowers from our garden to put on his wife’s grave – colorful… yellows, reds, and lavender.
I was really beat – back bothering me – I had some lunch and had a nap – woke up at 8:30pm.

Got my allergy shots today, and Dr. Moody was in – fortunately for me, as I was really pretty sore and my epidural isn’t for 2 weeks yet. She gave me a scrip for prednisone, some knockout drops for nighttime, and a nice dose of muscle relaxer for when I need to function at work.
While BHK was getting the scrip filled, I visited the radio shack next door for a power cord to juice my $1 police scanner – no dice, but I did get a tv tuner for the pc – much fun, but need to get a better antenna for more signal. (right now I get one analog pbs channel (poorly), and 3 digital channels.)
Picked up our mail, and then ducked in out of the rain at the candy store (I had to help E. Bunny with BHK’s basket) – we discover grape-flavored wax mustaches… bhk augmented hers with a candy cigarette. far superior to cherry wax lips of my youth.
. 
After that, I was pretty tuckered out, spent the rest of the day taking it easy – back was really out of whack.
